WOW!!! Your story is truly inspiring to me. I am just getting ready to start and have some questions. You have done so well. I feel like I am the one of the ones you talk about helping in your story. You have touched my life already and I don't even know you. I can tell by your story that you love the Lord -- me too. Jesus is awesome and He is my strength and I believe He has led me to this program. I am 31 years old, married to a wonderful man and we have a 3 year old and a 7 month old. Most of my weight is from pregnancies - 1st gained 91lbs and second 65lbs. It is so hard to get it off. I am feeling really aweful about myself and how I look (230lbs). It often makes me cry. I have done WW and results are so slow and unmotivating. You have given me hope... thank you!
I would love any advice you can offer as I start this journey. Plus any little trade secrets would be good too. I also don't know if I should start with the rapid program first. Basically, I want to succeed the first time. Any words of inspiration you can offer I would love to hear. Congratulations on your success.

Hi there,
I caught your post because you are from BC. I recently moved from BC (where I lived for 10 yrs) to North Carolina (huge change). As a Canadian it is lovely to see other Cdns online here. I too just ordered the 6 week body makeover program. I am jazzed to get it. I think that its effectiveness is due, in part, to its educational nature....teaching people about body types....great stuff.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and to let you know that you are not alone at the start gate this Dec 2003. I intend to begin on Monday January 5th...and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you begin too.

Yes BC is a lovely place to live. Right now we just had our first snow fall - a nice way to end 2003. I guess we must have gotten about 6 inches. Thanks for your response. I think its a good idea to start on the 5th. That is what I thought I would do as well. Get the holidays over with first and start fresh. I am really looking forward to succeeding at this program. Probably the first time I have been excited to start a weight lose program. It's nice to know we are taking this road together. I wish you all the success and hope that it does everything you want it to do for your life. I would love to stay in touch and be here to support each other. And to all the other people out there who have lost weight and have any advice please pass it on..... here are a couple of newcomers looking to be encouraged.

Hi Vik, its Sandy Van Buren, I am so proud of you.
For those that don't know, Vicki and I have been friends for quite a while. I love Vicki, she is the sweetest person I have ever met. And even at her heavest she just exuded kindness and love. That hasn't changed!!! Now she is just as stunningly gorgeous as she is sweet.
She has inspired me and a friend of mine to do this program also. I started in June, I lost 19 pounds, but I have fell off the wagon and have gained 10 back. But I will find my way with the new year starting I am going to try again. My friend has lost over 40 pounds so far in about 12 weeks.
I just want to express my thanks to Vickie for being such a great role model and inspiration.

The only advise I can give you is to really try. I tried the program and I know it works...
Things will discourage you. But make this your number one priority and it will be fine.
If you need help or support there are many people who are here for you... to help.
This is a changing year for everyone. 2004 you will achieve along with so many of us.

Sharon - The hair cut isn't new. My hair has grown since that photo and it seems as though my beautician can't duplicate that hair style again. I will have to take that photo to her and see if that will help her remember what she did. I really like that hair cut as well. My wedding is this Saturday and I am stressing because my dress is not done. I also must say with the stress of thin gs I have been eating so I put on some weight. Once this is all over I am getting back on the program. I WANT TO LOOK LIKE YOU!. Happy New Year!
