Okay, so now that I have your attention, let me explain why I have a 75 pound AV. Everyone needs a "do over" once and a while. As kids we are always asking for one in the roll of the dice in a game. Well this is my greatest "do over" and one I finally know I will not need to do over again! Some of you may know me already so you may be a little bored with my ramblings. Back in Dec 2001 I started the MT6WBMO program after seeing BMOS Delores and some others tell their stories on the first 6WBMO infomercial. I originally started this plan because at the time I had 5 year old son and I was 44. I was walking up one flight of stairs, something I didn't get to do too often on the island here, and I was huffing, puffing and sweating. I looked at my son and thought to myself that I may never see him grow up at the rate my health is going. I had gained 20 pounds in the year 2001 alone! I was the heaviest I had ever been. I topped the scales at over 200 pounds. It was probably closer to 210. I wore size 24 and had a 42" waist! I never exercised. I ate junk. I was just basically going to give up being thin. I tried everything; pills, motivational lifestyle changes, fad eating diets in every combination imaginable, liquid diets, high protein, etc, etc. Each time I would lose some weight and gain it all back and more. I was not a fat child and I had been a thin adult 2 times before with a lot of work. During 2000 and 2001 I started to starve myself to get thin. It had the opposite effect I actually got even fatter than ever. I literally starved myself - FAT. I saw the infomercial for this plan and thought I might try this. I went on-line and saw what great results others were having and so I decided it was either this program or I was going to be fat and eat myself into an early grave and I wasn't going to think about being thin ever again. By September 2002 - only 36 weeks after I started the plan, I weighed 135 and was a size 6 with a 29" waist. I had lost over 65 pounds and over 61 inches. I was jogging for an hour 5-6 times a week. The same person who could not walk up one flight of stairs! I worked out 3 times a week with the bands. I remade my body, regained my health and my self-esteem. I was asked to shoot what I believe was the second infomercial and the Provida group flew me to LA for the shoot and that is when I met Michael Thurmond, BMOS Delores and BMOS Annie (who was not a BMOS at the time - just a big weight loser!). Because I have such a big mouth, I made it off the cutting room floor and also did one of the "Success CDs" some you may have purchased on this Web site. My progressive shots made the blueprint page on this Web site. My photo is on the cookbook ad that flashes by on the side of the page here sometimes. I was a success. It was time to move to Living Lean (even though I was still about 15 pounds from goal - I thought I was thin enough) and I did so very successfully for two years. I posted less and less on the web site because there was no need anymore. Time to let others be the success stories and motivators for people on the Web site. After fame, came life. Life was full of a lot of downs for me. And after about 2 years of Living Lean, I slowly began my old bad eating habits and not working out. More life happened. Soon I had to buy some new clothes, in bigger sizes. I was in denial of my gain and still felt like I was in control - as I kept saying to myself, "All I need to do is get back on the plan." And I did try, many times for a day, a few days, a week. But in the end, it was easier to buy bigger clothes and just deny. I stayed off my scale. That would be the final reality check of what I was doing wrong. Soon I grew out of bigger clothes and started wearing elastic waist pants. Big Mistake! I got bigger and bigger. I was at my wit's end. I knew I could lose the weight if I could stick to the plan, but I could not stick to the plan. I was in a spiral of hopelessness and failure. And because of my weight and lack of working out, I had an episode of Arthritis in my lower spine and Sciatica down my right leg and was in constant, unbearable pain. To add to all this, I avoided the doctor's office. I knew that if I went, they would certainly say something about my huge weight gain, back issues and those were things I didn't want to hear. On top of the Arthritis and weight problems, I developed high cholesterol - 205. (A problem which I NEVER had before.) My spine hurt so badly I could not even stand up straight and forget about walking. Finally out of desperation. I saw my doctor. He looked me square in the eye and said, "Lose weight and change your diet. You have 6 months or I'll put you on meds. And as for your back, live with it. Here are some pain meds that by the way could kill you." I had stood on the scale there and it read 201 - clothed. BANG! - Slap in the face! I was now 47 years old - with some big health issues. That was the final straw... my humiliation was so great that I felt even more hopeless than before. But just when you think the darkness is so overwhelming there is a flicker of light. My friend here in Hawaii, was also in a spiral of despair. She had grown out of all her clothes and was in constant leg and foot pain from Plantar Fasciitis. She agreed to start the 6WBMO plan with me again on May 16, 2005. She dropped 27 pounds on this plan and is now at her goal weight of 124 and has been holding there for months and has never felt better in her life. No more pain in her legs and feet. And she looks great in her size 2s! We talked daily on the phone and supported each other along the way. I knew I needed to get back to the threads but I was so frightened to show my face. I thought I might discourage people by showing I gained back weight. So I posted a thread called.... "Back and looking for help...The Comeback Kids! Getting to GOAL!" on the Motivation and Support 6WBMO threads. I announced my shame and embarrassment to all who would read that page. And people welcomed me back...people who were starting again - like me. We were all in one way or another re-fighting our own battles to good health. They were my greatest cheerleaders and I thank all of them from this thread: http://forums.provida.com/forums/ShowThread.aspx?PostID=1183837 ! And of course BMOS Delores and BMOS Annie who didn't put down my situation, but supported my return. So there I was at 199 now starting again. Embarrassed to be here and ashamed of myself. I set my goal lower at 124 pounds this time. Michael Thurmond told me to lose 10-15 more pounds at the infomercial - so I was aiming for the goal line this time. Something I had not achieved before. However, I couldn't walk. I couldn't walk to the end of my street or even my driveway! So I sought the help of the painkillers for a while and found if I walked in the morning I could do it, somewhat painfully, but do it. And I wore a back brace. As time progressed and the weight lifted I became in less and less pain. I stopped taking the meds and started my day one hour early with a walk at 5am. Now my pain is still there, but not even measurably close to where I started. I don't take meds or wear a brace anymore and I can walk my hour every day. My other problem was the constant images of my formerly successful self flying by on this Web site! How annoying it was to see what I gave up - all the time flying by while I am trying so hard to get going again. It was like someone constantly saying - so there! I would look and say to myself, my goodness, what have I done to myself again!? I refused to take new pictures of my fat self (again)... I felt that would be the final indignity for me. It was enough that my photo gallery had the strong evidence of what I had become -yet again. I did weigh and measure myself just to make sure things were as bad as I had suspected and they were indeed very, very bad. So many weeks have past now since May 16 and I am happy to say that I revisited my doctor on November 1st, 2005 after only 6 months on the plan and my cholesterol fell 60 points to 145 and my weight fell, too - 60 pounds at the time of my visit to the doctor's. My doctor gave me an A+ and told me he wished all his patients would head his advice like I did. I told him by March 2006 I would be at my goal weight when next we meet. What was different for me this time? I set clear goals and made them happen. Near the end, I set goals daily and MADE SURE I made them happen. I set mini goals of 5 pounds at a time all along. I was 100% POP, except when I planned not to be - like vacations, breaks and working away from home. When I could not be POP, I made wise choices. Those choices did not include pizza and cookies! I noticed I lost weight faster this time. You can see the comparison in my signature below. Last time I lost 65 pounds in 36 weeks. This time I lost 75 pounds in 30 weeks. That's 10 pounds MORE in 6 week's less time!!! Even a vacation break where I gained 11 pounds in 12 days did not set me back. I came back and got right back on plan and lost 14 pounds in 7 days! That's the 11 pounds I had gained and 3 pounds MORE! After 18 weeks on the plan - the plan still worked amazingly well! In fact, it worked better that week than it ever had worked for me before - EVER! Was it easy? Yes, in fact it was (after I got past being so down on myself). Do I want to do it ever again - meaning lose 75 pounds? No. I won't ever be back there again. This time I have better tools for staying at my goal weight... and a lot of those are within my own mind. I learned my biggest mistakes were, elastic waist pants, not stepping on my scale and not seeing myself as a thin person. Three things I vow I will not ever do again. And I have set new long-term goals for myself... to lose body fat this year and be SEXY at 49 and beyond! So I will keep setting goals-long, short and daily goals-which is a huge difference for me and probably one of the biggest lessons I learned from this plan. Was it a lot of work? Yes and no. If you plan for the plan, you don't have to work too hard at it. You just have to follow the directions. You can even be a lousy cook like me and make it work. But it does take a lot of dedication to yourself and the plan. But the pay-offs are great ones! So it is worth the work to have a lean healthy body in the end. So if you are asking yourself if you can do this plan or not, or if you are back trying it again, or if you are just starting out, or if you have made it to goal and have put back on some pounds (or all your pounds!) you want to lose, or if your weight has gone up and down in your life more times than even you can even remember, I am here to tell you... If I can do the 6WBMO plan TWICE anyone can do it and make their goals a reality. Combining both times through the plan, I lost 140 pounds and 120.75 inches. I am thinner now than I have EVER been in my adult life and I am healthier, too! What are you waiting for? You have the key to the door of a lean, healthy lifestyle. All you have to do is use the key to open the door and start walking. The 6WBMO plan will work... it has worked for every single person who I have introduced it to in my life here in Hawaii (in their 30s, 40s and 50s) and that included reintroducing it to myself. It has worked for countless people who post on this Web site and for countless others who do not post at all. If you have 10 to over 200 pounds to lose - it works. Work the plan and the plan will work for you. And it's easy and healthy. Twenty-five of my personal success secrets: 1) Never give up. You never fail until you give up. Never give up. 2) Never let anyone tell you that you can't lose weight. You shouldn't do this. You don't have that much to lose. You have too much to lose. You will never succeed. You will never keep the weight off. Don't let negative thoughts enter your mind. 3) Follow the plan - follow the plan - follow the plan. Do not eat off plan. Little cheats WILL slow you down. Why be slowed down? The times I was off plan I had to work very hard to undue my own damage. It is NOT worth it. My whole reason for redoing this plan was because I was "cheating". Turns out that my cheating only hurts me! 4) Make working out as important as brushing your teeth. Schedule time for it like you do for other parts of your day. Make it something you MUST do - not something you need to "fit into" your day. I only used the bands that came with my kit, my Bowflex and walking to achieve my results. You will see results and changes in your body at ANY age. 5) Never lose sight of the fact that this is a lifestyle of eating, not a diet. This program does not change your predisposition (if you have one) to being overweight. Be ever vigilant of your eating habits and maintain an active lifestyle. 6) Get support from your family and friends. Don't let them be your downfall. If they refuse to be supportive - find someone who is supportive in your "life" and if you can't find someone there this Web site is full of very supportive people. 7) Plan ahead for times when you may need to be off-plan and don't let them spiral into being off-plan forever. Get back to the plan as soon as you can-the next meal if possible. Make wise off-plan choices if you need to. Eat like a lean person. 8) Visualize your goals. Write them down. Post them on your signature. Pin them to your walls. Constantly remind yourself of your goals. Make weekly goals...at the end I started making daily goals. I wish I had done that all along. Goals are super important - if you aim at NOTHING, you will achieve nothing. 9) Take your before photos and keep taking pictures of your progress. Be proud that you are not ever going to be that heavy again. Don't be ashamed of how fat you "were" you will not be that person again. Draw yourself thin... if you can't draw make a mental image and ingrain that image in your brain of you as a thin person. Post it around your house. See it and be it. 10) Don't be afraid of your scale or be too obsessive. Because it says you are having a bad day, doesn't give you Cart Blanche to blow your eating plans for the day. You can see an inch, but you can't "see" a pound. Be visual. 11) Make wise choices when you eat out. Pizza is not a wise choice - a salad is. 12) Never EVER buy elastic waist clothes! 13) Don't deny or be afraid of your own failures, use them to change your life. 14) Don't keep ANY of your fat clothes - not even for fun. Get rid of that part of your life completely - no falling back! 15) Don't forget that the single best thing you can do for your family is to take care of yourself and then do that - take care of yourself. 16) Be your own best cheerleader. Give yourself pep talks. Compliment yourself on the good choices you make and on your successes. Don't let set backs get you down - they are only temporary. Don't be your own worst enemy or speak badly of yourself - ever. You are not a bad person - so don't treat yourself like one - ever. 17) Set very specific long and short-term goals and don't lose track of what you need to do to get to them. Read them every day and ask yourself if every choice you make during the day is part of achieving your goal. 18) Living Lean is doable. Just don't forget about how hard you worked to get there. And don't stress about whether you can keep the weight off. You will keep it off if you KNOW you will keep it off. Think, eat and act like a healthy lean person does. 19) The journey up a mountain begins with the first step and continues by putting one foot in front of another. 20) Don't let life's setbacks throw you a curve... life will always get in the way of your best plans, so be prepared for surprises all the time. Learn to go with the flow and forgive yourself, too and move on. 21) Chocolate is not an RDA (recommended daily allowance). 23) If food doesn't closely resemble its original form, it shouldn't be in your mouth! 24) See your goals and you will be your goals. If you see yourself failing, cheating, not losing, being fat, not having time to workout, etc - you will succeed at all those negative things you are trying so hard to get away from. Have something to aim for at all times and work for that in every thing you do. Put all your goals in the definitive, ie: I will workout today, I will be a success, etc. So never see the glass half empty... see it half full and it will be half full. Don't be afraid to aim high on your goals. 25) Be thankful every day that you are alive and don't waste the gifts you've been given. Once again, thank Heaven for Michael Thurmond, the folks at Provida, BMOS Delores (who is a great cheerleader and motivator), BMOS Annie and everyone single person on this Web site. So now my greatest DO OVER is done and onto living lean again and forever! I'm back and I am a success... this time! My Stats - both times:

Lisa, I have so few words for you because they are all clogged up in my throat. To say that you are an amazing person is a very critical understatment. I just have to say, if the words you've written...of success, falling back, and ultimate success, your 25 fabulous tips for getting to goal, your photos in your gallery, and just your over the top enthusiastic and heartfelt message don't inspire someone to do this program then, well, I'm sorry to say that there is not much else out there to help them. Simply put, you are INCREDIBLE!! Many, MANY Congratulations to you, girl!!!!!

Lisa, This is my very first time to post...I just want to thank you for putting into words the very thoughts I have had these past several months. I started this plan on September 6th, and to date I have lost 70 pounds. I HAVE NEVER BEEN THIS SUCCESSFUL, IN THIS AMOUNT OF TIME. This plan is saving my life too. My "light bulb" moment was also a set of stairs - carrying my grandchild and stopping 3 times before I got to the top. I was tired, sick, disgusted...did I say I was tired? I have a fairly severe case of hypothyroidism. One month ago, the doctor reduced my dosage of medication from 200 mcg daily to 188 mcg daily. I am hoping to get rid of the lasix and potassium soon. My cholesterol dropped from 183 to 139. My blood pressure is that of a 12 year old. Thank you Provida for that infomercial I saw in July. You have helped me get my life back. Lisa, you are truly an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Dawn

Aloha ! Dawn - Wow! I just read your story. It is an amazing one indeed and the fact that you have lost so much weight in 3 months is truly inspirational! I know you will get to your 160 pound goal and hope that you will also not need your medications. It is great that your grandchildren have such a good role model to share their lives with for years to come. Congratulations on your success!!! Dee - awww...what can I say...but if you ever need a gentle nudge or a swift kick... count on me cause I owe you one! Oh and I am just glad I survived riding down a one way street the wrong way with you so I could come back and post again! I wonder if that was foreshadowing? LOL

You know, Lisa...the wrong way on a one way street story is one of those stories that has become one of my standards. I'm sure I did, but I did tell you how horribly lost I got driving home after dropping you off that night, didn't I??? What was it, 1 AM, and me lost on the streets of Los Angeles in the nasy, nastiest area!!! If I need a butt-kicking, I'll certainly know where to sign up!!

What was so funny about that wrong turn is that we were so calm about it... I was just like, isn't this a one way street? And you replied just as calmly, hmm yeah-maybe I better turn around? Meanwhile the cars are heading right for us... I know there are some nasty places in LA... they did a drug bust in front of me on the street by my hotel! I told my business partner, we need to spend a bit more money on hotels next time!

Lisa - WOW - what an accomplishment you have made. A great big CONGRATS TO YOU FOR THAT!!!!!! As I read your story on the computer screen, it really, truly hit home with me. Then I printed it out and reread it again and highlighted some things of what you said. I can honestly say that I felt like that was me talking. I had at one point reached my goal weight of 110 lbs. and guess what? Everything came back on plus. As I'm sitting here at my desk, yes, wearing my elastic waist pants, you have made one heck of an impact on me. I know that I am the only one that can do it, again, and I will do it again and reach my goal weight again. I also have been away from the boards for a long time not posting and I have also been avoiding the scale like the plague, but you have given me hope and inspiration to do it again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. After reading your post, you have lit a fire under me and I will do it again, and if you want, I will keep you posted on my success. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. To me, your post was godsent.

Lisa - I wished I had already lost 15 lbs. That was from previous weight loss. I just forgot to change it. Maybe some of my weight has gone to my brain and I just wasn't thinking right. LOL As my new avatar says, "ON MY WAY" and that's exactly what I'm going to do. I will keep you posted on my success and thanks again!

Lisa - Your story was truely inspiring! It is awesome to be able to get to your goal weight not once but twice! I know that we all slip, I just slipped during Christmas but the point it to get back up and dust yourself off and start all over again. I have been POP since Christmas and lost the couple of pounds I gained from that day. I have been worrying about what will happen to me when I get to LL because I worry about gaining it all back. But reading your story I know that weight gain does not have to be permanent, you can lose it but the trick is to stick to a healthy lifestyle including exercising.

Lisa, what a story! WOW. Very inspirational for me to read right now. I'm a come back kid too. Your words give me so much hope to hang on to. I feel so confident that I WILL get all the way to goal this time. You are right on about the daily goals too. I tried it today and found that having goals to accomplish really kept me on track today. I'm going to continue to be a goal setter from now on. Thanks for all your tips too. Congratulations on your success. Cheers to you for LL in 2006 and beyond. You deserve all the blessings that come your way.

Lori - see those 15 pounds gone...and they will be gone and keep seeing the weight go... you can do this again! Robin - so glad you joined our "comeback kids" thread! I'm really happy the daily goals are working for you. We set them in our work, but not our lives, so setting them in our lives make sense. Like our own personal TO DO list! You will be a success...just make that one of your goals! Virginia - wow - look at you... you are looking great and doing great. Like you said - right back on the horse and keep on riding! Don't worry about Living Lean... I think that keeps people from getting there. Just concentrate on the here and now and you will get to goal... then your biggest worry is how to afford all your new clothes. Congrats and best wishes on your continued success.

Lisa!! Congratulations!! Lisa is an amazing inspiration.... if not for her, I probably would never have gotten back on plan. She saw my posts from another thread and sent me a message telling me about another thread for people who did the plan then gained some or all of their weight back. I fit right in....I did the plan last year and lost 70 lbs then put it all plus some back on.... I am currently back on plan and have lost 31 lbs..... Thanks Lisa.... you gave me my motivation back..... You look great too!! Dennis

Wow Lisa, I am so choked up. You are such an inspiration to me. I could say ditto to everything you said about the way you felt about yourself. I have been there and am struggling with it now. When I came back in August, I emailed Dolores to find you because I knew you would help me. Congratulations on your success, and I look forward to your help, love and understanding as I head toward goal this year....for good... You rock! Thanks for being my friend...
