Donna, sister! I look like an old movie star? when they were young? hehe.. who? fred astaire? lol.. you're sooo sweet sister.. i'll take it that you meant marilyn monroe or rita hayworth or something like that and not ask you who you meant haha.. well you look like a new movie star, but I can't put my finger on it.. maybe it's demi moore.. i don't know why i said rita hayworth, i look nothing like rita hayworth, of course..

you are doing so good at being a success story to look up to! thank you for being there for us in that gentle caring way that you are. I can see where it might be hard for you with your computer situation, so it's all the more appreciated. This thread is a hoppin'..

Theresa~ wow, you are so tall. You already have a great start. Thank you for your nice comments. My first 6weeks I lost 20lbs, then for the next 4 sets of each 6 wks I lost 10lbs , then it was 5lbs for the next set, until it was maybe 2lbs, each time, or none, I never gave up, I never lost hope, I never threw in the towel, I knew I was doing this for the rest of my life, so while it was always exciting to see the numbers dropping, I knew working on building lean muscle was more important to me also. Because once you reach goal, the habits you have learned by being longer on the program, will be instilled with you for a very long time. And that's really what it's all about, isn't it, we don't want this for a temporary thing. Good Luck! And don't forget to take before and progress shots.

Brennmass~ welcome to a great program, I wanted to address you by your first name, but you have no profile. You already have a great start. Congrats and thanks for your kind words.

    I. Kieba~ Thanks that, means alot, It sounds like you have a ways to go, so just take it one meal at time and you will get there. I do look back at where I was for a long period of my life, and I truly mean it, when I say I'm still living it, because there is NO going back to that. Good luck to getting to your goal.

Well this yesterday on the 17th was my DH and myselfs 23rd wedding anniversary. I looked at the photos and between the two of us, we are at least 200lbs lighter. A few more wrinkles and some loose skin, but hey we'll take them.

I will always remember it as your month.. It's also the month I TRIED my whacky living lean plans with all the different kinds of breads and salad dressings and gained a bunch of weight lol.. so that will help me to remember you the month of living dangerously.. hope things are going good down on the farm sister, hope your plans are coming together.. can hardly wait until you get a puter at home!

Ahh, Sister Tiffy~ Actually we passed on the expensive meal to buy each other a box of pour on wormer for the cows. Is that love or what? So instead we went to our favorite Mexican food joint. He did join me in my walk later that day. And we did go to the movies also. We'll save that fancy outing for when the ground ever sells. But then like you girlie, I change my mind, like the weather does every minute here in ID. but the computer is definitely on the list.
Now why would gaining a bunch of wt this month, make you remember me?
Take care and talk to ya later.

DONNA: Wow! No other words can fully describe my sentiments towards your story in its' entirety. You are so very inspiring. I only recently ordered this program and have not yet received it through the mail, yet I can not wait to have a success story of my own. Yours was the first testimonial I've come across while on this site and I want to thank you for having poured your heart out and giving people who have only just begun the strength they didn't even realize they possessed. Once again, thank you.

Vanessa~ You don't know how special that makes me feel, you saying that. There are many a success stories that have inspired me along the way. They are wonderful incentive's to see real people actually make it, and don't have to have surgery, pills, etc. But you yourself have to truly believe that you are going to make it happen for you!
You have just invested in the best plan out there. So truly follow it, and you will be rewarded with results that are unbelievable. Good luck, and I will be watching out for you. Yes and my forever line, don't forget before and progress pics.

Billie Jo~ wow, you are definitely on your way. I hope you are loving this as much as I do. Thanks for the congrats. And good luck on achieving what you want to accomplish. Congrats back to you on your success so far.

Regina~ I think you have me blushing, that's what the color is. I appreciate your kind and thoughtful words. I do hope that by exposing myself out there, that it does push or pull someone else out there to get off the fence so to say, and to live it and breathe it and not just talk about it or figure out a way how this program won't work for them. Because baby it does. It's not hard work, it's just consistancy!!!

Darlene~ I read your profile, first off you need to think of this as a way of life for the rest of your life. the reason why you gain your wt back is because you go back to the old habits that got you there in the first place. Yes you can have some of your old favorites, but isn't a little taste better when you get to goal than eating out of control and going back to wearing all those big clothes again. Moderation is the key and consistancy. I never was an A, I started as a B, and still eat as a B. Do me A or B is not much difference. I'm sure if I would have started at my 236lbs I would have been an A. You do not have to eat the same things over and over, that's why there is such a variety of foods on the plan, you just need to get in there and mix it up, stop trying to look how not to do the program and look to how it will work best for you. Now I know some of my friends find it easier to not try recipes and such, but for me, it's got to taste good and there are so many spices and herbs out there, you don't need to be a gourmet. it sounds like you just have started this program. And you sound so dissapointed already. I wish I could wave a magic wand, but if you truly, truly want this for yourself, then do it, and if others along the way, put their two cents in on maybe you have lost too much wt etc, because you will get comments, and at that point if you are satisfied and that was the goal you wanted to achieve than fine, but if it is not, than just keep on keeping on. You have to do this for yourself. And WANT if for yourself. Take care and good luck. Big hug!!

    Hi Donna
I just want to say thank you for posting such a fabulous story. I have been on the program for six weeks now, have lost maybe 15 lbs, (have not weighted in this week yet ) and really was down today, thinking I was doing this for nothing because I was not having the results I wanted. But I am not going to give up, I have added the SMART technique, going to start second CD tonight, I know things will get better, and I also know this is a life change for me.
Sometimes I get tired of turkey chili, turkey burgers and fish but lucky for me they are foods I like.
On the good side, this program does work, and 15 lbs gone is more then I had gone six weeks ago! I for one have tired almost everything, LA WEIGHT LOSS.. what a racket, a friend of mine gave me the weight watchers stuff, cabbage soup, phen/fen, other diet pills, I am just tired. Ya know?
My all time goal is to be a size 8/10 because I can never ever remember being that size before. My first goal is a to wear a size 14 comfortably. I know I will get there because after all I am fantabulous.. and I AM WORTH IT.. just like everyone else who is reading this..

Thanks again for your encouragement Donna.. it really meant alot!

    Donna,

I feel so lucky, blessed even, to have come across someone so kind and genuine as you... I just want to tell you that besides your absolutely inspiring account, you are first and foremost a kind-hearted person. I am sure that your character and charismatic ways have made you a great person, not losing the weight, although you and I would both agree it was a wonderful asset to shaping the new and improved person you are.

Thank you for being so kind, and thank you for your reassuring words. I now do believe that I have made the best investment of my life, and I will live by it and be consistent, I promise. I'll soon post my "before" picture and I will be sure to keep up with my "progress" and "after" pictures. I look forward to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

    Donna,

I have written before and you really are an inspiration to me. I started @ 190 lbs and I am 5'2". I have my goal weight at 135 because I honestly do not ever remember being any lower than that. But after looking at you and your current weight I wonder if I have my goal weight too high. What do you think?

What weight were you at your 30 week and 42 week pictures??
