Last year during the holiday I was a very lonely sad individual who was at my low point. I was married to a wonderful man who loves me despite my ever increasing weight, I had a beautiful daughter who loved me even though I had to be an embarrassment to her. I had a loving family and friends. I had a job in which I excelled at and a home and possessions. But none of those things made me happy with who I was. I did not like myself and to be truthful I did not love myself. I was an embarassment to myself. I could not control my weight though I tried very hard to do so.
I was sitting on the couch one saturday afternoon, still in my PJ's, to lazy to get dressed. I was flipping through the channels on TV, not planning to do anything that day. When I paused on the Michael Thurmons 6 Week Body Makeover. He said many things that made sense to me, I thought to myself "what do I have to lose--besides the weight" It was a win win situation. I either lost the weight or I get to try it no risk with a money back guarantee. There was no way to lose. So I asked my husband what he thought and he said to go ahead and try it. I recieved my plan just after the new year and started on 1-7-02 --which will go down in my personal history as the first day of the rest of my life. I had quit wearing a seat belt, I didn't care about me any longer so why protect myself. I had quit caring about how I looked. Clothes were hard to find that fit or looked good. I had had to get my first pairs of 28, recently had popped over the 300 mark on the scale at a all time high of 305. I hated myself and it showed.
Within the first 3 days I had lost 7 pounds by the end of week 1 I had lost 15 pounds!
Week two I had lost 5 more! I lost 5 pound every week for first 15 weeks then it was 2.5 for 2 weeks then 5 for 2 weeks. Until closer to goal when I averaged 2.5 for the last month or so. When September 7 rolled around I had 2.5 pounds to lose to make GOAL. I did not lose it, I was bummed I told my husband that if I started on the 7th I should be able to finish the 7th before it was 8 monthes. So I really focused that day I walked and ate right on track. The next morning I got on the scale and I HAD LOST THE LAST 2.5 Pounds! I screamed grabbed the scale and ran out the living room were my husband was snoozing on the couch, I woke him up and showed him the scale, then I ran to my daughters room and showed her the scale! --They decided later that day I had lost my mnd--they were sure of it. :) They are very proud of me, and very happy for me. Best of All I am proud of me and I am starting to like me--maybe even love me. Compliments are still hard to accept, but I will get there, 31 years of thinking bad about ones self does not go away over night. It is something I am working on. 8 monthes ago life was pretty dark and lonely. I was 157 pounds heavier, 120.5 inches bigger wearing a size 28 now I am 148 pounds, and wear a size 8. Today Life couldn't be better! I am learning to love myself, I am still striving to be who I aspire to be, but best of all I am no longer a embarassment to myself or those I love. the Michael Thurmons 6 week Body Makeover did this for me and it can do it for you TOO!

    Debbi -
After I met you what struck me most about you is that you are not at all the person you showed me a picture of.
In fact, I was wondering who you were when I saw you on Saturday. I thought maybe you were some staff from Provida!
I was expecting you to be old and your skin to be hanging off you like a coat rack. Boy, can that be further from the truth?!!!!! You were so thin in fact, that I only hope I can look as good as you at my goal!
No one can make you feel better about yourself. All I can say is that whatever shell you had been hiding behind before is now completely gone. What shows most now is a confident, young, vibrant woman - whose beauty goes a lot farther than her looks.
Congrats and thanks for being such an on going inspiration to us all.
    With fond aloha - Lisa

    Drb222,
You are truly an inspiration to us all. I'm glad that this plan was created, and that you happened to catch the ad and order it - if even its sole purpose was to lift you out of that dark chapter in your life. I'm glad that it made the strong person you are even stronger. I'm glad that now you have more of your life ahead of you to spend with your loving family.
I'm also glad you were able to share your story. I wish you all the success and hapiness with the rest of your life!

    Hi Debbi,
Boy oh boy, I couldn't agree with Lisa more!! You are such a poised, lovely young woman who has such inner beauty to match the outside beauty. You are so impressive, with your quiet but quick humor and ready smile. I am so thankful that you stumbled upon the program when you did. You have so much to live for, and it sounds like you were so unhappy. I can certainly identify, as most of us can.
    Anyway, I just wanted to take a brief moment to say once again what a pleasure it was to meet you and (hehehe) literally sweep you off your feet for our first meeting! {Note to others...MOS Al and I kinda sorta basically kidnapped poor Debbi when we picked her up at the hotel..she never knew what hit her! hehehe}
I can't wait until the new infomercial is released so that others that need your brand of inspiration will see what you've acomplished and not hesitate to follow in your footsteps!
    Hugs to you! :)

Debbi- I would also like to thank you for sharing your story. When I was researching this program, I knew that I wanted to loose over 100 pounds and felt like that would be an impossible ammount to lose. Post by you and others, showed me that it is very possible to take off that amount of weight and do so in a timely manner. If I had not seen such results I probalby would not have ordered the kit . A great bug hug to you and all of the other people on the new infomercial. Hopefully when it comes out many more people will take advantage of this wonderful program and put more sunshine and health in to their live:D
Thanks again and again for sharing

    Debbie,
I had such a great time meeting everyone but especially you. You were such a shock to us all because you were not at all what we expected. I couldn't wait to meet you because you have done such an incredible job of shrinking away. I enjoyed talking to you about everything and anything. You have done a tremendous thing and you deserve to know how special you are to all of us that met you in LA. We have only known you for a brief moment so I can imagine how very special you are to those you are with everyday. Enjoy getting on that horse without straining....enjoy being able to bend over and put your other foot in the stirrup....but especially enjoy running your horse across the pasture with the wind in your hair and the freedom that comes with it. I pray you enjoy life. You are so sweet. Thank you for having the courage to try this program and inspire so many to try with you.
    Thanks again,
    Marla

I agree with everything tatanka is saying. I too could not wait to meet you. And when I realized who you were I was like no way she looks like she has never been fat a day in her life. You are amazing and I am so happy for you and with you. You have such a sweet spirit. It was really nice meeting you.

I just had to post! I'm Debbi's older brother Tim. I've been reading the great things you've said and I really appreciate the support you've all given Debbi in her quest for her life back. My wife and I are very proud / inspired by Debbi's success and I've started focusing on my weight again because of her attitude and dedication. (I can't let my little sister out do me :) ) I hope I have half of her success in twice the time. And I hope all of you match her pace for pace.
thank you for all the support!

Well Tim, you couldn't have any better inspiration than what you have in your sweet sister Debbi. She served as a wonderful inspiraton to us all, but so did all the others who took time out of their busy schedules to fly to LA. You can't even imagine how fun this was for all of us! I mentioned to another "looser" that this seemed more like a wonderful family reunion than anything even remotely connected to "work"!
    Hugs all! :)

    Congratulations Debbi!!
You are SUCH an inspiration!!! I have tears in my eyes from reading your post. I definitely understand and relate to the dark period that you described. I am only on week 5 but am already starting to feel better about me and believing that I can pull my life and inner image around.
I can't wait to see the new infomercial and see your before and after pics.
Tim - I am hoping that my success in this program will inspire my older brother. I have always been heavy set and I don't think it was any surprise to my family when I ballooned out these past few years but my brother used to always have a very lean athletic body and since he's been married and and now with the 3 kids he keeps getting bigger and bigger each year. During my 2nd week on the program I went to go visit him and he was telling me how scared he was that he is now at 230 pounds. I told him he should try the program, but I think he was still very skeptical then, hopefully when I reach my goal as your sister did, then my brother will also begin.
thanks Debbi -- I am hoping to become as big of a success as you!!

Wow --I said that compliments were hard to accept still! Here I sit with tears streaming down my face, I was crying and sobbing so hard a few minutes ago I had to go get a hug from my husband he simply hugged me and told me that you were all seeing what he had known all along. I have along way to go on rebuilding the years of abuse I put on myself mentally--and as well as physically.
Thank you all for your kind loving words of encouragement I can't express how much you all mean to me. All of you whom I have had the pleasure to meet, those who I have emailed and posted with over the past 8 monthes, those who are just looking into this and are asking the same questions I asked Annie monthes ago-- you all mean so much to me! You encourage me, challenge me and inspire me to be who I aspire to be! I will never stop trying to improve me-- I am a work in progress-- one that will never truley be finished because there is always something to improve and work on both inside and out.
Timo you have always out done me -- I too hope you can reach the goal you set for yourself ! I am behind you 200% I would love to see you return to the healthy strong bro I grew up with. You like me have everything going for you with your wonderful family --beautiful wife and handsome boys. But weight loss is something you have to do for you--no one or nothing can make you do it if you don't want to . I know I have 31 years of struggling behind me as you all to well know.
I still find it amusing everyone thought I was old (er) I have people who knew me tell me how much younger I am now--obviously I even sounded old in my posts?!?!
I really enjoyed being "swept" off my feet this past weekend and had a chance to really connect with some amazing people who I really admire and respect. Annie you were a highlight of my trip, having looked up to you since I began my new way of life meeting you was a milestone! And I agree we had a wonderful time--from our "morning" walk to our "slumming" it I felt like I had know you for years. Lisa, Marla Dolores Shelita you all really touched my heart too--these are women who are intelligent , funny, strong and a real hoot to be with. You all are amazing and I never felt so close to "strangers" so quicly in my life. I tend to be a bit shy and reserved until I get to know someone and --you all brought me right out of my shell I felf instantly at ease with you all. Thank you!
Everyone was so kind -- Everyone IS so knid on this board --I really gain strength here thank you to you ALL!
    Debbi

Debbi - Thankyou from the bottom of my heart! I know what being an embarrassment to my family is like... I'm the mum who sits in the car and waits for the kids to come to me, rather than be seen walking through the school ground, and people pitying me OR my kids.
I understand that compliments are hard to take, but if anyone deserves them it is you. You have every right to be proud of yourself, to like yourself and LOVE yourself. You did this for you, but oh so many of us have benefited. God Bless you Debbi!

    Debbi -
I believe you get back what you give out in life. You obviously give a lot of yourself to others and so it is natural for them to give back to you!
Your husband is 100% correct (I know we hate admitting that!) but he, who married you, knows more than any of us how wonderful, kind and beautiful you really are. I only hope I have the honor of seeing you again in future.

You are probably losing water weight, in the first week or so you lose more -I lost 15 ponds the first week, now that can not have been fat, but your body needs to get rid of the excess water to help your metabolism work right so enjoy the loss. Keep up the good work and enjoy your journey to a new you.
