Aloha folks, It has been years - literally since I have been on this site and I am ashamed to show my face again. I went through a pretty emotionally hard time and ate my way out of it and am now seriously back on track. I put on weight and am looking to get back to where I was before. Am I welcome back and is anybody willing to be my buddy? I started on Monday feeling pretty good. Lisa

Everyone is welcome and that is what is so great about this site. You will find inspiration and motivation here. That keeps me going, that's for sure. This plan is very hard for me but it is working, slowly for me since I have trouble staying POP. But I feel so much better and am so aware of everything I put in my mouth. Good luck.. Deb

UsedtoBthin, I think there are so many of us who have emotional eating in our history that we could write a novel. Looking forward to talking to you and maybe we can help each other make our days happy ones. And for the crappy days... we can moan and groan to each other. That works too. Moondoggett.

Aloha all, Thanks for the kind words. The photos are of what I used to look like - after I did the plan. I lost 65 pouinds. But have put some back on - so I am really trying not to hide from that fact as I was living lean for a few years. Life got in the way and sent me back here with health issues that the recently added weight is not helping. I am looking for someone who fell off the wagon or is new who wants a buddy so we can keep each other on track. I want people to know I am still around and fighting to get my health and weightloss back. - Lisa

Lisa, I just came back 2 days ago after almost 2 years away. You weight and health issues are much more important than the fact you've been "missing" from the boards for any length of time. I came back because I know this plan has worked for me twice before. Both times I let "life" sidetrack me before I reached goal and I now weigh 20 pounds more than when I first bought the product 4 years ago--NOT because the plan does not work--but because I don't work the PLAN! Nobody is going to beat you up for getting sidetracked. I think you will find that most will welcome you back like a friend who's been out of touch for a few years. WELCOME BACK! You can count on me as a fellow buddy, coming back to our hometown after being gone too long--a little scared, but very excited to be home! Sandy

Aloha Sandy, Thanks for the welcome back. If you're game I am too...So far it has been 5 days and I am doing okay. I don't desire to stray at this point. I have to think of my health and my family. How much did you lose on plan before and why are you back now? Lisa

I've gotten down as low as 177 a couple of times, and bounce back up to 200-210 whenever I revert to old eating habits. It comes back SOOOO fast; just another confirmation that food combinations DO make a difference. I have true issues with sugars and oils--potato chips, fried potatoes, McD's french fries, ice cream, chocolate bars, especially w/caramel, WHITE BREAD. Plain and simple, every time I give into an urge to have just a bit of any of these foods, it gets really ugly. And yet, I keep lamenting how it isn't fair that I cannot enjoy these foods. Oh well, the lesson I'm stuck on, page one I believe, is that the definition of Insanity is doing the same things over and over again, expecting different results. This weekend was a little stressful; and I bought 2 half gallons of ice cream because the kids had been subjected to a not-so-fun weekend. Then how come I personally am responsible for 4 cups of ice cream gone by Monday morning? And can anyone explain the 7 pounds I picked up over the weekend? You guessed it; there were a lot more OFF plan choices than that stupid ice cream. And do I feel good this morning? No. Same old habits; same old results. But one of my first e-mails this morning asked if I'd made a mistake. How insightful! I was advised to own up to it, correct it with God's help, learn from it, and MOVE ON. So today I'm picking up my sorry self and moving on back to plan eating. Had an on-plan breakfast, and have consumed over 40 ounces of water already. Time for a snack. Have a great POP day! Sandy

Aloha Slw, Weekends are hard. I mean I go grocery shopping and if I happen to sway down a middle isle... I'm sunk. No point beating yourself up for going "off-plan", it makes you feel bad and when you feel bad, if you are an emotional eater, you will feel like eating. It's so cyclical! I can believe gaining 7 pounds in a weekend. Been there - dome that. Know exactly that it IS possible. Heck I can walk by a cake shop and gain weight from the fumes! I think the tape Michael made with the red cross on it, is something everyone should listen to when they feel the urge coming. How we and life and sometimes the people we love most work against us... not on purpose all the time. It really helps to listen to that tape when you are feeling down. Don't internalize your kids' problems... boy am I guilty of that one!!! That is part of my demise and why I am back here. If you are upset, so are they, help them find ways to help themselves. It's another week, slw, so just take it one day at time. Soon you'll be back on track and heading down to 165 goal... Lisa

Delores!!!! Big HUGS!!!! Oh so much has happened.... when I get time I'll PM ya or call ya if your cell phone hasn't changed. I am really back on track and thanks to a friend of mine here that I work with. She started the plan and is hanging on too. I am having trouble getting in walks... without details... I now have arthritis in my spine - can you believe it? Can I swim??? If so, same heart rate? I want to be at the reunion for this plan... so don't count me out... yet! - Love Lisa HotKK - are you taking any supplements? Also for both problems - try dark green veggies especially and good luck! - Lisa

Mind if I join in? I need to be held accountable for these last 12 or so lbs I need to take off. I would love to be a part of this thread. I have been struggling for a few months. I can sooooo relate with what all has been posted in here. I take calcium supplements everyday, also dark green leafys for fiber.

Wow Lauren - in case anyone hasn't told you... you are looking stunning! Don't you hate thighs... I swear... they just don't want to go away? - do they? You have done a marvelous job - you should be very proud. Have you moved onto the accelerated body work outs? You really look like that is all you need at this point. Have you tried to change your foods around? Sometimes that helps with those last stubborn pounds? Anyway, we are right here for you and you are truely an inspiration! - Lisa

Sureeeeeeeeee, PM me, email me, call me...cell is still the same. You've got me curious to say the least. Also, I would NEVER count you out on anything, I have total faith in you. Same with Lauren, I have 100% faith in her too. Sorry to hear about the arthritus in your spine...owwwwwwwww.. Swimming is a good, non impact exercise, but I've read some research that it may not be the most efficient fat burner. In your case, if walking is out of the question, then that will still be your best alternative. BTW, Lauren...package is being delivered FedEx.

Lisa, I too am starting back. I was on the program last summer and it worked great. I got waylaid by a Hurricane named Ivan and I have had the hardest time getting back on the program. I gained it all back. This past weekend I went to a national competition in Chicago with my son and I just saw some pictures of myself. I was horrified that this fat lady in the picture was me!!! Just awful. Also, I found that I just wasn't as fast as I should have been. It's distressing, to say the least. BUT, I guess I needed the inspiration because I plan to start bright and early tomorrow and I would love to buddy up with you or this whole thread to help keep me straight. Good luck and I'll write soon, Christine

Aloha Delores, I'll call ya. When is Michael doing a reunion? I want to be there! I am so curious why swimming doesn't burn fat efficiently? I may cancel my swimming pool (you can not imgine what it costs here!!!) get a spa instead so I can work off my soar muscles after walking. Aloha Lauren, I wish I had a magic butter knife for my inner thighs! No matter what I did they just juggled away! I was ready to cut them off! I think you have done an amazing job changing your body... you are my new hero! Welcome back and we'll get off those extra pounds together! Aloha Christine! Yes, yes of course more the merrier!!!! I know about the fat woman in the picture I have one just like that. I avoid cameras at all costs. But I loved Cameras when I was at my peak weight. I liked not having to hide. I'm glad you're back Christine and I know we can all do this together. Welcome. Facing a holiday weekend is a tough one for me. I have two parties and parties all revolve around food. I plan to stick to the plan. Anyone care to share strategies? Lisa
