I started this plan on October 5th of last year.  I bought my treadmill the same day.  I was determined that I was going to do this right, from the start.  My original goal was to no longer be in pain from stomach problems and being out of shape. I was in a size 26 jean, weighed 261 lbs and had no energy left at the end of every day.  I run a busy restaurant and it is an 80 + hour a week job during season.  The first day on the treadmill I was positive that the ½ mile was going to kill me.  There wasn’t a pore in my body that wasn’t in pain and sweating.  I have lost over 133 lbs; over 80 inches combined and now wear a size 5, comfortably.  I have been in a size 5 since the 6 month anniversary of my starting this new life.  Not once did I ever look flabby or have tons of loose skin, thanks to the workout routine.  I surpassed every single goal I made for myself so far.  There is so much that I like about this plan that I don’t know where to begin.  Things like I was able to work it into my life without a lot of hassles.  I am able to go out with friends.  I eat out, every single day, since I run a restaurant. I live in a small town and am a very public person so I had everyone noticing the new me.  And WOW do the compliments ever help you get through any tough times.  But that is what is sort of strange.  I never truly “plateau’d”, it seems I always was losing pounds or inches or both.  For me at least, the menu planner helped immensely.  It is so nice to have a “no brainer” of a menu to work with, it is that easy!  The “biggest problem” if you call it that, for me has been clothes.  I am a very good seamstress and for months was able to keep trimming down my clothes and not spending a lot of money on new clothes.  I found I did have to buy new lingerie every few weeks though!  Now that I am so close to my goals, I have started making some new clothes and have splurged and bought a bunch also.  I never dreamed I would go try on a 2 piece swimsuit and actually not be ashamed to wear it in public like I used to.  I have once again become the “shopper” my husband married all those years ago!  It is so neat to stop and look at what I have always called “doll clothes” then to try them on and realize that not only do they fit, but some are too big!  I bought my first ever size 3 jean shorts a few weeks back and was amazed they fit!  And who would have ever thought I would buy White shorts, show my legs in public and like the way I look!  I guess all I can say at this point is THANK YOU PROVIDA AND MICHAEL THURMOND I love you, I love the company and everything about my new life.

TAZZSMOM, you have no idea how much of an inspiration your story was to me this morning.  You and I have the same weight loss amount--about 135 pounds.  I just started back at the first of May, and my goal is to reach my target weight by my daughter's 3rd birthday (which is the last of October).  That's six months away from now... I wasn't sure it was possible, was even attainable until I read your post.  Like you, I was a 26 when I started, and I have no idea what size I'll be when I'm finished.  I've NEVER been a normal size as an adult.   The first three weeks have really gone great.  I've lost 20 lbs and around 25 inches already, and I'll be halfway through my first six weeks come Sunday.  I'm feeling great, but I occasionally get intimidated when I look at the long haul. Can you answer a few questions for me?   What body type are you? Did you have one major problem area or did you have to lose all over?  I have to lose all over, and as a result, I have a hard time telling if I'm shrinking or not.  I *think* I look smaller, but all the same "shapes" are there, just not as big I guess. Were there any "tricks" you found to doing the program that made it work better for you? What was your exercise regimen and how much water did you drink each week? Thank you so much for posting, and I hope you will keep in contact with us.  I'll keep an eye out for your posts... Thank you ever so much.  I can just SEE myself now, at my daughter's birthday party--a beautiful, sculpted, healthy, ecstatic ME!!!! Blessed

Along with everyone else ... WOW!!!  You must be so proud of yourself!  And what an inspiration.  I've had my kit for 3 weeks.  I keep reading the messages, I keep planning to start ... but I just haven't.  You have just jumpstarted my enthusiasm  ... THANK YOU! I have pretty much the same questions as everyone else ... I'd particularly like to know which type you are.  I'd also like to lose 135 lbs. Thanks again for posting.  After reading what you wrote I really feel like I can start and see this through! Debbie

Awesome job TAZZSMOM- I myself use to be a size 3-and am now a 22-24...so I know how fabulous you feel. I've thought about getting a treadmill and said..ehh, you're too heavy to work out on one--but you have motivated me so much that I will be buying one this week. Pat yourself on the back, you deserve it. I'm so happy for you! Linda

TAZZMOM, JUST SEEN YOUR NAME AND POST FOR THE FIRST TIME.  WHAT A STORY!  YOU MUST BE RUNNING FOR QUEEN OR SOMETHING. YOUR STORY HAS MADE AN IMPACT ON MY WIFE WHOM I'M HOPING WILL AT LEAST BEGIN TO TRY PARTS OF THE PROGRAM.  SHE HAS STARTED DOING SOME EXERCISE, BUT NOT ACTUALLY ON THE FOOD PLAN AS YET.  SHE'S RECOVERING FROM A BAD CAR ACCIDENT AND STILL CANNOT DO TOO MUCH STAMINA WISE.  THE FOOD I THINK IS A COMFORT TO HER WHICH IS WHY SHE'S NOT ACTING ON THE MT PLAN TOO QUICKLY.  DO YOU HAVE PICS?   SIR MARK

Tazz, way to go.  You are 1/2 your starting weight.  How awesome.  When I get weak and look at the oreos in the cupboard, I'm going to think of you.

I ordered the system last weekend.  It should arrive by mid June if not sooner.  Since I have 70 lbs to shed, your story has given me more hope that this system will work.  I will try my best to stick to it. Thanks for sharing.
