__________________________________________________________________________ Sweet 'n Sour Chicken (For One) __________________________________________________________________________ From member CindyR457. I thought this tasted pretty yummy... let me know what you think. - one portion skinless boneless chicken breast
- 1 small onion, sliced lengthwise
- 1 small red pepper, sliced lengthwise, and then cut in half
- nsa chicken broth
- brown sugar substitute, to taste
(BMOS Note: Please see our "What is it and where do I find it?" forum for more information about this product. Please note that Brown Sugar Splenda is not a recommended product as it contains sugar.) - Splenda, to taste
- unseasoned rice vinegar, to taste
- ½ cup fresh pineapple, sliced
Sauté chicken in broth just till tender. Sweeten to taste with brown sugar substitute being careful as this can become bitter. Add Splenda to taste if it turns to the bitter side. Add vinegar to taste and pineapple. I served over one serving of rice. Can use rice noodles also. Compatible with Body Type: Breakfast B-C-E Morning Snack A-B-D Lunch Afternoon Snack A-E Dinner PM Snack A-D-E This Recipe Contains: Protein B, Fruit A, Free Veggies How do I measure out a serving?

Thank you for the recipe, it sounds great and easy to make. I am new and trying to find different ways to make my chicken and I love sweet and sour chicken

This was great. DH says his favorite so far of all the things I've made. (He is not on the plan)

Member Heaven's Gift prefers not to use vinegar and recommends seasoning her chicken with Mrs. Dash Garlic and Herb and most importantly Chinese Five Spice Powder.
