:D I have finally found a lifestyle that I can live with. I am able to be happy, healthy, eat and still lose weight.
Since I was a baby I have always loved to eat, my mother couldn’t give me a bottle, she had to fix me food. I have always been heavy, even in elementary school I was a size 14. Through high school and college despite my love for eating I was able to maintain a hefty size 16 and 18’s and as you know in high school that is huge, anyway it wasn’t until after I got married and started working in an office sitting in front of a computer all day and sitting in meetings that I really started packing on the pounds. I went from 210lbs when I got married 4 yrs ago to a hefty 272. It just kind of happened. I stopped going to a lot of social events because I could never find anything that I felt I looked good in and I didn’t want people talking behind my back about how much weight I had gained. I would go out on occasions, reluctantly for my husband because he likes to go places.
Well, I finally got tired of being extra large when a good friend of mine had gastric bypass surgery and lost over 100lbs I lost my shopping partner and my husband started talking about having kids. I thought there is no way I can have kids in this body.
Then I found Michael Thurmond’s 6WBMO, I had seen the infomercial several times before finally ordering, I had tried so many other things, starving myself, exercising, Metabolife, Richard Simmons, The Great American Slim Down, Formu 3, Weight Watchers…..need I say more. When I got the kit in the mail and opened it I thought, how am I going to loss weight eating all this food? I said I would give it a week, I told my husband if I gain weight on this thing I will be so mad. I lost over 10lbs the first week without exercise, and was hooked nothing I had done before had worked so quickly with eating. I vowed to follow the program for the entire six weeks and haven’t looked back since, I have had off plan foods every now and again, but you just keep going, eating and working out and the weight just keeps coming off. I am now at my first goal of 170lbs and on my way to the second of 150lbs and I know I will achieve it…why? Because Michael Thurmond has not only provided me with the tools I need but also explains why you eat and exercise to lose weight. This program is not a diet it is a lifestyle change one that I can live with for the rest of my life, I do not fear regaining the weight, I do not fear having children, Why? Because I now know how my body works and I know how to sculpt it into what I want to see. I also have a wonderful family here at Provida, to share my successes, to ask questions, to support others, and to vent if I have had bumps in the road, and to help others through theirs.
Thank you Michael for giving me the tools I need to make me a healthier, happier person, and reintroducing me to a world I had never known before and now I love to do things, go places, and meet people without those old fears, you can’t keep me in the house anymore.
I have gone from a size 28 to a size 12-10 depending on the designer, 42% body fat to 29% body fat and lots of inches gone in a little over 6 months.
    Start and current measurements:
    Chest 42, 36
    ThighR 32, 24.5
    Thigh L 31.5, 24
    Calves 18, 14.5
    Neck 18, 14.5
    Waist 43, 28.5
    Hips 53, 39

    Okojie,
I guess, I just wanted to be healthier and happier and once the weight started coming off so quickly, I couldn't stop. It is so easy now. I love to excersis now. I feel so much more comfortable in this body then the other one. I never would have thought how much of a change would take place just from losing the weight. My personality is a little different, I don't have some of the same worries, that I didn't even really know I had until now when I sit back and reflect.
All I know is I am not going back. My goal's now are based on getting more definition and slimming the all mighty thighs. Its fun now not a chore that I have to do. I even subscribe to her muscle fitness (lol). Anyway, my life is completely different and I am enjoying it. Maybe one day I will be like you in your 6's, 4's & 2's:D
I don't think so my, husband although very supportive is starting to complain about the bones sticking him:D We will have to see what I look like in 20lbs. He might leave me for being to skinny. He likes women with some meat, although I have a sneaky feeling he will get over it;)

I am married to a man who likes meat on his bones too, and I must say that you look absolutely lovely.
I do understand about wanting to see the very best you believe that you can be. [You look so good now.] Still, no one wants a bag of bones, those bones really do hurt.
Continue on your toning and keep that beautiful figure for as long as you choose.
Image sexy at 80! Love those abs! Hope you stay in touch!

    Good Evening Samthelamb;
I read your inspirational and motivational story. I too am losting weight on the plan which I started on 8/4/02 . It's good to know that once you made the commitment to change your Lifestyle despite some negative input. I have enjoyed the support of my family and friends. Although I had seen the informerical several times on television it took my sister to get me started. You have an ally and someone also dedicated to MAKEOVER there lifestyle.
I hope someday to look as equally beautiful as you do and to stay dedicated to being a new person. I now weigh 200lbs from the 263 that I started at. It's been more than 20yrs that I was this size. This is a major accomplishment for me. My goal are small next trying for 190 by Xmas. You have renewed my resolve to stick to the plan more than ever. Thank you

Simply AMAZING! You look gorgeous! I just stated about 3 weeks ago and I failed miserably on Thanksgiving and I am back on it today. I'm a little discouraged though, my company's X-mas party is 12/14 and I will not be any smaller by that time. Any words of wisdom? I also see that our Body type is both a B- I am having a very difficlut time with not having flavor on my food. Salt is my worst habit! Your story is very encouraging- Conrats!

I can't tell you how inspiring your story is. I needed to hear it. I started the program in May, and have lost 60 pounds...I have had "off program" weeks, so my weight loss has been slower...I need to know that these stories are out there, and that we are succeeding. I am so VERY happy for you, I am far from my goal still, but have recognized a life style change as you have...It's amazing. For the first time in my life I am "managing" my weight, and learning about my body in a way that makes so much sense...I know I dont know you, but I feel so proud of you...and grateful for your story. I wish you continued success as you reach the finish line...You look fantastic. :)
Good luck, and hope to see you around the message boards,
    Amy
