    Good Morning!

Wow!  I think this is the very first time that I was the first poster for the day!  You slackers you......hahaha *wink*

Nope, not working today either.  I am on call though, so if they do call me in, it will be time and a half pay, so hope they do end up needing me.  If they get really busy, or if someone needs to leave for some reason, they will call me in.

I'm gonna workout at 8 this morning. Burn circuit 3 today....so weight lifting with combined moves.  Really engages the core.  I'm really sore today, especially in my back muscles. I usually have a hard time tearing those particular muscle fibers so I know I really worked them this week.  I want a nice strong sexy back...Big Smile I think I might go ahead and do a second ab workout afterward too.

Tomorrow, we are heading to Tucson for the KIM freedom fest.  We'll stay the whole weekend so wont get back till Sunday sometime. My dh's Brother is playing there, so that is an added plus.  I think Kelly Pickler is gonna be there this year too.  They have awesome fireworks at midnight that take your breath away.  We have fridge in our hotel room, so I'm bringing my cooler with me.

Soul~  No, we haven't called a repair man yet. My dh thinks that the defrost mode got frooze up somehow.  So, we unplugged the fridge and letting it totally defrost and will see if that takes care of the problem.  The freezer area was working fine, it was just the fridge area that wasn't cold.  We have a stand up deep freezer in our laundry room that we put all our frozen food in and have a couple small fridges that we put our fresh food in.    Have you had that happen before?  I would love any ideas you may have.  I hate to spend the money on a big repair bill right now with me not working much. Thanks for your help..Big Smile

    Good morning,

Cardio done.  Walked 1 hour again.  It was cloudy and cool with a nice breeze.  My legs were so sore from walking so much yesterday and I think from walking the golf course as it is up and down hill.  But all is good in my world.

I weighed this morning and I am down to 167!!  It is finally doing what it is supposed to do.  I think it just took my body a bit of time to adjust to the salt and smaller amounts of water.  All the cardio probably helps too.  I am hoping for a big loss this week but whatever I get I will take!  As long as the scale is going down I am happy.  Only one more pound for a new avi.  I try not to look at that too much until I get close.  I actually hadn't thought of it until I up dated my side bar.  So, we'll see what tues brings.

I have been journaling all my food and making sure I get it on time.  Sometimes I am just not hungry, but I eat because I know I have too.

Got to get ready to go to work.  Need to help get the order checked in as it will be very busy today.  We have to be closed tomorrow, so everyone will be stocking for the long weekend.  Many people are off today.

    Goals for today

    POP food and water

    Cardio - done

Weights - if I have time

Fix a veggie tray for tonight

    search for OP veggie dips

    Catch you all later.

Was very busy and not doing good. Was woke up by a throbbing pain in my left arm/wrist Wed. night and have been going to the doc.,switching meds, etc. for the last couple days. Have no idea what I have done to aggravate it, but will be doing some research, cuz don't want to do that again. I have been wearing a brace...the first day and night it didn't seem to help, but now I think it is. Anyhow,it feels much better today. I am not a good sick person and do not like limitations! LOL

Good morning Duckies & Swans... I hope you all have fun weekends planned. We are having  both dd's, their families and a few friends over tomorrow so I will be in control of food. I won't be tempted to drink because I am going to an early spin class Sunday morning and I always feel sluggish the day after I drink (even just one).

It has been really warm here... in the upper 80's all week. Today is supposed to be low 90's. I got up at 5 am & did my 3 mile run so that I could get it in before the heat of the day...  Next week will be back to the 70's.

Todays goals:  3 mile run (done)... Water... OP... Journal

Saturdays goals:  Walk... Upper Body Toning... Water... OP... Journal

Sundays goals:  Spin Class... Water... OP... Journal

Have a great day and if I don't make it back before... Have a great 4th of July!

Goals met and the weekend goals are POP – I will be at a family reunion all weekend, so will be as POP as can be. Have a cooler all packed and ready to go for the trip (6 hours on the road) even packed food for my hubby, though he isn’t on plan, but it will be nice to picnic at the side of the road somewhere. Should bring a blanket too, wink wink.

Lisa – I definitely want to stay in if you’ll have me. But sniff, sniff, you didn’t say anything to me in your last personals email, and as the little child I am, I will just go to my room and sulk. Just a question, the 5 weeks you mentioned, is that when we are to be at goals or be gone?

Mari – I love apple cinnamon tea, am almost addicted to it. I love the taste on your tongue afterwards. Glad to hear your body has kicked in.

Linda – you are so correct imagine what you will be and you will be it.

Sharon – sorry I don’t do facebook, this thread is all that I can do in my spare time, especially in the summer when the weather tends to take me outside as often as I can.

Soul – way to go! Have you tried the falafel recipe in the recipe section? I shape them like burgers and eat them between lettuce leaves. MMmmm.

Catch you all Monday – have a great weekend.

one walk done, one to go. bowflex done. other goals: pop, h2o, clean, clean, clean.

I've dumped a lot of stuff out of the pantry and organized it. It won't stay that way, so why I bother, have no idea. I spent hours waxing the furniture on Sunday and the dinning room table looks awful again. Kids and dh...what can a girl do?  I'm in a throwing out mood. I just want to see the house clutter free for a few days...maybe a few hours with my crew, lol.

Anywho....I hope everyone has a pop day and a great weekend!

Goals are met for yesterday.  Today, POP, Water, 60 min. Cardio.  Saturday and Sunday will be the same.

All 3 kids go to church camp on Monday so will be getting them ready to go. Need to make sure they have the proper clothes, snacks and essentials.  I won't know what to do with myself without them around.  I'm sure my DH will think of something.  (wink, wink)

Hope everyone has a good 4th of July weekend.  Stay Pop and drink lots of water - it's very hot here, supposed to be 103 today and through the weekend. ugh!

No time to finish reading and post much, so I will try to say a duck a buck!Wink

Linda, yup – had it happen. Somehow the door to the freezer (mine on the bottom) was left ajar. Thus a ton of ice built up on the motor? -whatever - on the backwall. This will make it do what yours did. So repair guy took a like a hair blower and melted the ice off. I had to pay for that!!! Big bucks! Nice they gave you a hint!!!  Also, fridge runs best if the freezer is full. So if I ever run low on food in there then I put water bottles to freeze and make ice. Then the fridge doesn’t have to run so long. HOPE that helps!

Oh the things we do to lose weight!!!Stick out tongue

    Later, got an appointment!!! XOXO

    Aloha pondlings,

Got to get going – day off today – hubby’s b-day.

Linda – I love your food, but note it is only for swans and you… the rest of us have to stick to the plan. I hope you get some work soon – how is son? Have fun in Tucson!

    Sharon – drink – OP – what?

Rachel – I just realized you and my hubby have same b-day – 3rd of July. Rachel – good for you on NO cake and bad food – stay POP all weekend…. 6 weeks… lots of hurdles…. But you have to make it this time.

Soul – I’ll try – but this pea sized thing moisturizer is really silly. We’ll see! My immune system is fantastic – I lived in China…I have flu bugs saved up for years to come… my son too. We also never bathe… LOL… just kidding.

Andrea – Is there a farmer’s market nearby…. Is money coming in now…. They need to pay our military… that is just not acceptable!

Mari – good for you – looking forward to your 15 pound avi this week!

Brenda – my hubby has that. He wears a brace especially when he has to lift stuff. Hugs.

Diana – Have a fun weekend. Spin class – my nephew teaches some on the side in NYC. Happy 4th to you too!

Harley – what are you talking about – I gave you a DUCKIE AWARD! Of course you are staying put in the pond… did you ever decide on a goal weight and when was the last time you weighed what you weigh now? Harley – no the 5 weeks is when (if people want to or need to cause they are not following plan or rules or just life got too much or whatever) they can exit the pond. But only that week and only if we have people leave can someone new come in – one for one. Only that week.

Kirsten – I want to throw stuff out too…. Answer – move.

Sherri – You just keep moving and moving… happy 4th to you too!

    Good morning all,

I am still sick--day number 3.  Yesterday could barely hold down any water but am famished today so think I will try for my PWO muffins.  Also will get in some walking and my bands but have to take it easy for right now.  Doctor has no idea why I am so sick except for the increase of medicine in my pump.  I appreciate all of you well wishes, now if I could just get well.  NO fever, chills, or any other sign of flu symptoms.

Lisa, I will definately be around unless I get kicked out (lol)  I am down another 2 pounds since Tuesday but that is only because I haven't been able to eat.

I love this thread.  I kow that I can always come here and read someone's posts just to lift my spirits.

Hope you all have a good weekend.  I will be sitting here twittling my thumbs as I have not been invited to any outings and my DD and DGD isn't home either.  It is so lonely here.  AT least I am not someone who takes my loneliness out with food.

Will be back later with more specific posts but for now need to lie back down and settle my tummy a little more.

Hello peeps, I'm back in town, course I'm sure many of you have left for the weekend! Had an awesome week of vacation, the weather was perfect, sun and in the 80's. I'm down a few pounds, not sure how many since this is late afternoon here. Try being a scaleaholic and going a week without weighing!!! All I know is I went kayaking, swimming, hiking, shopping and I didn't eat the steak, hamburgers, pasta, pizza, ice-cream and other goodies that the fam had. Talk about a head banger!!! Anyway, just popping in and hope you have a great Fourth!!

    Afternoon all,

Well, we are in a severe thunderstrom watch until 10pm.  Actually there is a storm on it's way right now. So, hopefully won't be too bad.

Okay, here is what I am taking to the supper tonight.  I cut up brocolli, cauiflower, carrot, radish, and celery.  I also bought a tub of Lighthouse lite ranch veggie dip in case some want to have a little dip with their veggies.  I also fixed a fruit bowl.  So, I at least know there will be something I can eat.  That was my goal to have stuff ready to take that I could eat!  YEAH!  I can do this!

I probably won't post again unless it is later like after we come home.   If not, I'll pop on tomorrow morning.  Have a great evening.

Okay okay okay Lisa I'm here I'm posting...  ;)  Thank you for caring BTW...

I just haven't felt like being online - haven't been doing much with FB or anything...  I guess maybe I'm a little depressed or frustrated or overwhelmed or all three...  It just seems like it's been one thing after another for months and I'm fed up.  I just want to move on.  I'm tired of health issues, lack of answers and unresolved pain.  It's frustrating.  Between my arm, hip (for lack of a better term) and neck I just can't do anything and that's frustrating.  Why? Well, I lose SLOWLY without working out.  Frustrating.  I know that weighing less and being more fit would help with pain.  The thing is I end up in so much pain when I walk it's not even funny and it's the only thing I can do right now.  My arm gets worse daily - can't sleep can't really use it - getting weaker too...  The upside I guess is that I have an appointment on Tuesday with an Orthopedic Oncologist who will hopefully be able to fix it.  I'm hoping he says it's nothing - a lipoma or cyst and that he can just get rid of it and fix the tendonosis.  I'm going to hit him up for the hip too, because I'm getting NOWHERE here.  I'm actually thinking of asking some friends if anyone would put me up for a week or so and going back to GA for therapy...  not sure if a week would do it...

So...  I'm frustrated and maybe feeling a bit sorry for myself...

I also put Rumor down on 7/24...  It was so hard.  I'm finally on the upswing from that...  I actually am to the point now that I'm wishing I'd have done it sooner.  I can't believe I'd think that, but poor sweet girl...  Her spirit was so strong - she wagged her tail the entire time...  broke my heart...  but her body - well it was weak.  I hate that she wasn't able to live her normal life at the end and for that I wish I'd have done it sooner.  Anyway, that was my final straw...  Losing Ru just was it for me so I holed up in my cave for awhile.

I was not POP last week - I wasn't terrible - I wanted wine, but didn't...  What I did do was eat sugar-free fudgesicles.  I just wanted a chocolate fix - I know not healthy and not well just not healthy physically or mentally, but without being able to workout I couldn't figure out what to do with myself so since I was in total choco or wine mode I opted for the best thing I could think of...  satisfied my choco fix for 40 calories...  Not POP, but not Godiva either...

I did manage to lose a pound.  The odd thing is that I'm smaller.  I can't quite figure that one out.  Barely a loss, not working out and I shrunk..  I'll take it.  Maybe it's catch up for before.  I was getting frustrated about that too - down 25lbs and still wearing the same clothes - I couldn't imagine they were THAT tight before...

I did walk last week - ended up on vicodin for three days.  My hip just isn't aligned right - throws everything off - ended up with pain which caused me to be tense which messed up my neck and I ended up with a migraine.  So, gee I'm not so enthused to try that again.  I was so psyched after I walked - it hurt but didn't HURT while I was walking - thought to myself - I can work through this - this is cool...  Then about an hour later - maybe less PAIN...  and it spiraled from there...

Sooo...  that's why I didn't write sooner...  I just have not been good company.  I'm still not great company.  Sorry.

On an up note - heaven knows one is needed!  Mari - I see you're 167 - WTG!!!  :)  Who was the duckie last week?  I haven't even been reading posts - wasn't quitting though - just caving a bit...

I am tryng to do like soul and be positive to myself an dkeep telling myse4lf, I can do this! Today is Sat for me, July the 4th but of course, we do nothing for it here. Perhaps I will be back in the States next year for it, that would be a blast!

Soul, thanks for the happy bd. I don’t mind telling you my age because I feel the physicla age doesn't matter, it is how you feel what age that matters so I feel about 23 but I am 35. But yes, you are so right. I want to have my next bd at goal and have hubby buy clothes for me.

Andrea, I* hope the gov. will straighten the pay up quickly. I hate when the money gets messed up because life seems to follow

Brenda, so , what does cause tendenitus? Hope it is feeling better today

Harley, I love the idea of a picnic, my kids have been bugging me to do one with them also but it is so hot now that I am not sure how to do it yet.

Kirsten, oh, so that is a pink cloud. I know what you mean about cleaning, organizing and waxing only to have it undone within the nesxt day. That happens here all the time and it frustrates me to no end but I know one day, I will be missing those days.

Lisa, yes ma’am, I am going to be good all weekend. I sneaked a peek at the scale and it has me geared up to make this work and counting down is going!  There are hurdles ;yes, but trying to deal with them when I can. I do wonder, how to redo the A mentality?

Darlene, good for you in avoiding all that junk. I wonder, how do you wrap your head around the fact that you ar4e at goal but you still have to watch what you eat?

2bfit, good to see you posting again and sorry about your dog. Harley got the duckie last week. I hope that the doctor comes up with some answers for you and getsyou back on yoiur feet.

    Rachel                 Happy 4th of July

    Hello!

After my workout this morning, I had my morning recovery green shake then hit the shower to get ready to start the day.   Patrick had to work this morning but had Monday off...wierd I know.lol   Anyways, I hurried and got ready then went with a friend and both our Mothers and did a little shopping and then went and had lunch at a quiet quaint little restaurant in Gilbert.  I ordered the Spinach fruit plate with grilled chicken and it was very light, refreshing and yummy.  Oh and a great big  iced tea. It's 110 degrees out today...!! On the way home, we stopped by Trader Joes and I picked up a few things.  One of them being another tub of their hummus.  I am in LOVE with that hummus....lol  Oh, and I got this huge beautiful basil plant. Gonna taste amazing in my marinara sauce.  If we get home early enough Sunday, that's what I'm making for dinner. With ground turkey poured over hot Speghetti noodles..oh yea, gonna rock my face off! LOL!

Ok girls, I'm off to get ready to go to a friends house for a BBQ swim party.  I'm ready to let my hair down, relax with friends and just have some FUN!  I'm bringing some oven roasted brocolli and brussel sprouts....Mmmm, love roasted veggies!

What are you guys up to this weekend?  Any fun planned into your day?

Soul~  Thanks for your help.  We are plugging in the fridge in a little bit and hoping that everything works now that we let it totally defrost...fingers crossed!

    chat at you chickas later!

Sharon, wywy, your mom ROCKS!!! Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned – I’m keeping it mellow.

My day, DH (real estate broker – Goodmorning Sharon, that’s why I have it in my profile)  he signed me up to help a seller “stage” her house. Geez, and I know her from the past. So it was awkward for me to go into another woman’s home and make comments about her decorating abilities  (she definitely has neglected her space, and doesn’t seem to know how to improve it). So that took a couple of hours. Now I have to go shopping for stuff to improve it.

After that,  to DD house to help pack her up for the move and to babysit for a couple of hours. Meals are way off, what a day! I kinda knew it was going to be a whopper, but went beyond my expectations.

Mari, I need to take lessons for you in preparation!!! You’ve got it wired!! At least I pulled my pan outta the garage to make somemore Toasties in the morning – big first step!!!

Rachel – yeah, let’s rock n’ roll … I see fireworks on the homefront – is DH grabbin your butt yet???? That should give MIL a thrill … hee hee. Funny how kids KNOW – they shouldn’t disrespect granny, and yet she seems like one to disrespect – ya know!?! So how can they help it if they are going to be assertive adults??? But, I know, we have to try to instill that respect. What a contradiction when you think of it. But it would be wrong to encourage their rebellious behavior towards her. So, it’s all good – this is only temporary – TG!!!

Harley, we have so many people parked along the beaches – what a weekend!!! Are you watching the weather here?? I need to try the falafel recipe. Got an idea for the sauce? Think it is normally tahini, right? Linda, how’s the sodium on the humus? I always buy the basil plant at TJ’s – such a deal. This last one is a month old!! Usually only lasts a couple weeks.

Kirsten, are you a Virgo? I am such the particular itch. I have to pay a cleaning person every other week to come, or my DH would be history!!! Takes the pressure off when you don’t do all the dirty work!!  I almost got in a fist fight with DD husband DM – the two of us packing their stuff to move was freaky dangerous. She doesn’t like to get rid of stuff and I LOVE to get rid of clutter. Even my DD said, “mom, I don’t think you 2 should be here together!!!” Holy cannoli, is she ever right!! CHILL  - don’t you HATE when someone says that!!!!! KILL is more like it!

Sherri, yeah for church!!! Have a fun time with the donor!!! Get your cardio when you can!!!

Ms Spudnut, just realized you are in Idaho – land of the potato!!! Is that why you love potatoes – but hey, I do too!!! I am from Massachusetts though. Land of the baked beans!!! I guess I love those too!!!

Well Lisa, if you never bathe, at least you swim in the pool … phew!!! Nice to have a stash of bugs. I nibble my fingernails, so have always have a hefty supply too!!!

Jaci, bummer, feel better. Maybe it’s good you are alone – so you can rest.

Darlene, can’t believe you are coming here next week – wow, that was short notice!!! Still just in the 70’s, so you’ll be lovin’ it. Or maybe you’ll be cold???

Goodmorning Sharon, you have more energy than an ever-ready bunny!

EEK – been on here toooo long – gotta get to bed.

    Happy Fourth Peeps!!!
