    Good evening, ladies...

I've been swamped here at work.  My doc and I are trying to get all loose ends tied up before he leaves for India for a month.  So naturally, that makes me busier than a cat trying to cover up 2 tons of poop in the litter box.  I will do my best to check in daily when I can through the week.  I will be on MORE when my doc is finally out of the country!  LOL!  I'll be BEGGING for something to do then!

Mom wasn't able to go to church with me last night.  She had a bout with the back yard trots.  She couldn't stay out of the bathroom for very long without having to go back.  It turned out for the best anyway because our service last night ended up not being a normal service.  We just ended up sitting around and watching the youth work on a skit for Sunday morning.  We did do worship music though.  But Mom would not have been comfortable staying there... she would have been worried about when her next trip to the bathroom would be.  So we'll work on next Wednesday.

I hope you all are doing well and I have so enjoyed reading the posts from y'all today!  Talk at ya later!

Shelley, you don't get to go to India too?

Mel, glad you had a good time with your friend.  Take a nap for me tom. too.

Karen, I think planting rose bushes for your mom is a beautiful idea.  Don't you wish your mom could have seen you now as you have lost and are losing weight?  I think that too as my mom's been dead over 10 yrs.    Too bad you didn't find much for clothes but no use buying things you don't like.  That's one of the good things about being able to buy smaller clothes--one actually has choices.   But just cleaning out your closet will make a huge diff.  Also trying all those clothes on.

    Good morning all,

Well DD is sick again, sigh! I already asked my mother to ask our family doctor in the US to prescribe me more meds for her nebulizar. Can’t get them here, they only do those treatments in the hospital and that is expensive and you have to stay there a week so I rather buy in the US and bring back here. Other then that, it is Friday!! Glad about that. I can’t believe how the weeks are flying but glad for it. Probably a combination of waitinf for Christmas to come and then for me going home is causing me to think it is going faster. Contacted TSA about carrying some soup in the airport because that is pretty easy to heat and eat but it looks like they will not let me unless it is 3 oz. So have to stick to the salads I guess. Nuts

Still popping along. Wondering how me adding and using a lot of cinnamon will affect me so guess I will see tomorrow.

I love that we are all adding in tips and things we notice about ourselves and mental battles. Let’s keep that up

Mel, glad you had a great visit with your friend. Nothing like having a friend to encourage and talk with. Gosh, can’t wait till I go home to visit my close ones. It is always so nice. I can’t believe how much money your grapefruits cost. Come over here for cheap fruit! I bought a box of grapefruit, about 22 or 24 for 7 dollars. Inventive in my cooking , oh dear. You really don’t know do you? Hheheheh. I eat the same thing every day and usually with no spice at all in it. It is only within this month I am starting to try different things. I guess I am pushing myself to do it because once I reach goal, I can’t just eat the same thing all my life, so I want to start to experiment and do things. The soup was good. I made a bigger batch and have a small bowl every day at lunch. I could just eat that and be happy relly for now. I am easy to please hehehe.

Llara, I am glad you are starting to celbrate your own victories and not just others. You have to be happy with yourself to make this. I also hate the layor up but with driving a moped, have too. When I get up, I put on a thick wool skirt, a flannel nightgown over my light one and then a thcik sweater. This is to cook in and I wear thick slippers. That is what we have to do but I hate layoring soooo much.

I love you cleaned with xmas music! Gotta get mine out and get in the mood. I am going to start decorating a little later because I am postponing christmas till Sat. so the kids can have a real one. If I do it Thursday, they have no time in the day and at night, homework. Friday also so will do it Sat. Being here, I can postpone and they will never know.

    Good morning!

Yup… I’m early.  I thought I would get on here before they turned on the phones for the day.  Folks with “Friday-it is”  always call in after being sick all week and wanting a last-minute fix-me-up before the weekend.  It drives the already nuts doctors even nuttier.  So the phones tend to be a bit busy on Fridays.

No, I do not get to go to India with the doc.  I did ask him if he needed me to though because he said that he would be doing a little charity work in the free clinics while over there.  He seems to rarely be able to do anything like that without me.  He is spoiled… I have to tell him where to go all of the time!  LOL!

Speaking of which, he just walked in, so it’s time for me to go and tell him what to do!

CONFESSION TIME AGAIN. DURING THE LAST FEW WEEKS WITH WORK, ELECTION AND VISITOR, I HAVEN'T BEEN EATING ON TIME OR EXERCISING ENOUGH. YESTERDAY I CRASHED AND IT IT MY OWN FAULT.  KEEPING THE SUGAR LEVEL SHOULD BE MY MAIN CONCERN AND I NEGLECTED IT. CALLED THE PHARMACY FOR SOME STUFF AND WE HAD A BIT OF A CHAT. HE FEELS SOME PROBLEMS ARE FROM THE LOW BLOOD SUGAR AND I WILL TACKLE THAT THIS WEEKEND.  ONE MINUTE I AM TAKING BETTER CARE OF MYSELF AND DOING WHAT'S RIGHT FOR ME AND THE NEXT I AM FLYING ALL AROUND DOING FOR OTHERS. IN MY OWN DEFENSE( ROFLMAO) I AM GETTING MUCH BETTER AT THIS SCHEDULING STUFF. BUT I SEE MY BODY IS DEMANDING I GET EVEN BETTER AT IT MUCH FASTER!! LOL

SO THAT IS MY GOAL FOR THE YEAR'S END.  MODERATION.

HAPPY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY FOR RACHEL. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!

SUE...I WILL BE TAKING A LOT OF NAPS FOR YOU NOW!! LOL

SHELLEY...SORRY TO HEAR MOM WAS SICK. HOPE SHE MAKES IT NEXT WEEK. WISH YOU COULD GO WITH THE DOC TO INDIA. WHAT A TRIP THAT WOULD BE!!

LLARA...WHEN I SEE A LOT OF KIDS TODAY...THEY SEEM TO BE DOING JUST WHAT THEY WANT. LOTS OF PARTIES AND NO RULES. EVEN MY DAUGHTER IS SURPRISED AND ASKED ME JUST RECENTLY WHERE THE PARENTS WERE!  GOOD FOR YOU NOT EATING THE ICK. STAY STRONG!

RACHEL...SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR DD AND HOPE SHE FEELS BETTER SOON! I LOVE THE CHRISTMAS IDEA FOR THE WEEKEND AND MIGHT EVEN DECORATE SOME MYSELF AND GET IN THE MOOD. HOPE YOU AND THE FAMILY HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME.

    Happy Friday everyone!

Shelley how is your Mom today?  I know how busy it gets at work when someone is getting ready to leave on vacation.  Seems like my work doubles for that individual and since you just work for one it has to be really bad.  I have 15 faculty I work for and several are from other countries.  I like it when the ladies go back home because they buy me presents, so do my graduate students.  Just small trinkets or scarves but I love it.  I have one faculty member from India and he is a nut, just really funny.  LOL!  He is funny but I think he has schizophrenia and when it rears its ugly head it is very hard to deal with him because he thinks everyone is spying on him.  He has even come to my office to use my phone because he thinks his is bugged.  He has even gone to the point of saying our Chairperson is driving by his house at all hours of the night to see what he is doing and the President of the university has the campus police staking out his house.

Rachel sorry to here your little one is sick.  Nebulizars are can be a pain because the little ones don't like to sit but they do work wonders.  My OGS has troubles off and on and has his own now.  Boy those can be expensive and he got to the point we could con him into sitting but not always.  Hope she is feeling better soon.

I am excited next week I am putting up the tree, tradition because its a long weekend for me. I was amazed that the Grinch was already on, the cartoon version.  GS love it and then we put the moving in and he lost all interest. He didn't know it but he has a Grinch stuffed animal so I gave it to him while he watched the move.  At the end he knew what the stuffed animals name was.  LOL!  It was cute.

Mel everything is baby steps but like you said your body is letting you know when you are not doing right so be careful.  Even with no medical conditions, my body knows when its time to eat and I better eat or I suffer low blood sugar.  I have to say that is not fun at all and even once you eat takes way to long to start feeling better.  Oh, I bought a fruit tray that was on sale.  I don't know how but they had ripe taste cantaloupe in it, haven't tried the honey dew yet and the pineapple is ripe.  Someone else will have to eat the over fruits because they are not on plan.

Sue I took my nose stud out for about 45 minutes today and had a hard time getting it back in.  Its not that it grows shut but if I leave it out the holes seem to get out of alignment and then I have to work to get the stud in and it hurts.  I do have tiny ones but the post are so small the same thing happens when I go to put the big post back in.  I may try the small one tomorrow though for a few hours.  I do like my tiny ones and haven't gotten to wear them yet for more than a day.  Then my nose ended up swelling up on me.  ARG!  I still say I like it and its worth it.  I know most people say no way but I have wanted this since I was a kid.  I know a lot of people ask about boogies get on it but they don't and I have no idea why.  I do make sure its cleaned once or twice a day.

Well I did manage to stay away from all the ICK yesterday.  At first it was very, very hard but by the end of the day I didn't even think about it.  Small reward on the scale and I was a little disappointed but then I realized the lesson.  If I would have eaten any of that ICK I would have either stayed the same or gained.  So a little is better than nothing.  I ended up being POP yesterday again.  WHOHOO!

DH was made last night because he put ICK in the freezer for Thanksgiving Day and I told him no I wasn't eating any.  He said yes you will.  I said no I am not eating any and that is all there is to it.  He said that just isn't right and I said "What Ever" (drives him nuts when I say that and at times I do the hand moves also the W E V with my fingers while I say it).  Then when we went to bed he said he could tell I was working out again and have lost weight.  I said yes but I have a long ways to go because 130 is my goal.  He tried to convince me otherwise and I said no, that is my goal.  It makes him feel really insecure because said men will be knocking down the door.  I said I don't think so and I don't care, I love you and I am getting down to 130.  The way I look at it maybe it will make him do something about his weight.  I know this is gross and a bit racy but its hard to have relations and that is a big thing to him, with someone that carries weight the way he does and since I am still heavy it makes it even more of a challenge.  Hopefully when I get to goal that in itself will make it easier.

Well I better get going for now and I will talk to you all later.

    Llara,
My mother is feeling much better.  Dad came home from work the other night and gave her some meds for the diarrhea... I couldn't find any in the house.  After that, she said she only had one bout of it.  She seemed perkier yesterday when I went over there.  Thanks for asking.  That man from your office sounds very paranoid.  My doc is one of the most easy-going Indian doctors I have ever encountered.  Of the three docs that work in this office, I prefer to work for him because the stress level is less.  The work load is sometimes heavy, but the stress is low.  I like that.  Glad to hear that you resisted the ICK yesterday.  YAY you!  You go on with your bad self in stickin' to your guns with DH!  Be an example to him and maybe it will sink in for him and his weight situation as well.

Welp... back to work for me!
