    Welcome to the Provost’s Office

    The Provost and the Dean of Student Activities occupy the offices in this building.

    We have come to understand that for many newbies (students who are new to the 6WBMO or SMART Techniques) there are a lot of questions about how to make the most out of the programs.  If you're new to online forum or to Provida, please take a few moments to check out NBU101.  We've posted lessons on many of the basic things you'll want to know to post, etc.

    If you have a question about something regarding your plan or NBU and  you don’t see the answer to your question, just post it and I’ll get you the answer ASAP. We have also come to understand that some of our new students become frustrated with the navigational elements of posting and become overwhelmed before they really have a chance to get the basics of their program down.    Students at NBU will find fine living accommodations, experienced advisors, and friends from around the world.  But more importantly you’ll be receiving a first rate education.  Regardless of your degree track (6WBMO or SMART), you’ll learn all you need to know to make this life style change a permanent one.  We have high academic standards and we expect all our students to attend class (post often), participate in classroom projects and assignments (challenges), and most importantly maintain excellent grade point averages (earn your credits).  We also require that our staff attend continuing education classes (stay on plan too) to ensure that we always have the best and the brightest.  Each student should have their textbooks (6WBMO black book or SMART workbook) and study it regularly. We want all our students to do their best and set a goal to be listed on the Honor Roll each week.

    This semester’s schedule begins with enrollment starting January 3 followed by Move In starting January 7th. Students begin to earn credits during RUSH Week which kicks off on January 12th. We will accept late enrollments until January 18th or until all the dorms are full. At that point, prospective students are encouraged to attend New Body Community College (and participate in campus activities for no credit) until the next semester begins. NBCC enrollments will go through the end of Week 4 (February 8th). Credits will be earned through February 22nd and Final credits are to be reported by students ON February 23rd.

    If you still need to enroll, just follow the link in my signature for the Registrar’s Office. Complete enrollment details are posted there. On behalf of the faculty and staff of NBU, I welcome you.   Thanks again for choosing NBU to pursue your degree.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    If you have any questions about NBU or how to do things on campus, post them below and we'll get you the answers you need.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Facilities Tour

    New Body University has a host of great places for the students, faculty and staff to use for gathering information and maximizing the game experience.

    NBU 101—The NBU Entrance Course
    This is a place where potential students can go to learn how to post, edit, and otherwise navigate the Provida Forums.

    NBU09 Winter--Provost's Office
    This is the official administration office. Any questions or concerns you have about NBU can be posted here.

    NBU09 Winter--Registrar's Office
    This is the place to go for enrollments and dorm assignments. It should be the first stop for new students on campus.

    NBU09 Winter--Student Records Office
    This is the place for reporting weekly credit grades. Only the RAs (or an appointed person from each conference) should post in their conference color here.

    NBU09 Winter--Food Services Office
    This is the place to post recipes and ask questions related to the food portion of the 6WBMO and SMART programs. Students from all dorms are welcome to post here anytime.

    NBU09 Winter--Quad
    This is a general meeting place for student throughout campus—just a relaxed place for open conversation and fun. Students from all dorms are welcome to post here anytime.

    NBU09 Winter—Fat Burning and Body Sculpting Bulletin Board
    This is the place where exercise and fitness related tips and information will be available to everyone on campus. The primary focus of the Locker Room will be on fitness and well being using the principles of the 6WBMO. Information on different exercises, cardio and how to live a more active lifestyle will be discussed.

    NBU—Residence Halls
    This is where the fun is. Students are assigned to resident halls. They are not allowed to post in halls other than their own. They can “snoop” in others to get ideas, etc. but not post there.

    Enjoy wandering our campus!

    Enrollment requests are taken in the Registrar's Office.  Please go to that thread, read the first two posts and then add your reply.  You will be assigned to a dorm within 24 hours (normally).

    Welcome to campus.

    I haven't announced the days for the next semester because this one is just wrapping up.  When I do, I'll update that thread the very top of the NBU Forum to say NBU08 Fall--Information.  You won't be able to miss it.

    Until then, keep POPing and if you want to become more familiar with NBU or posting to the Forum, you're welcome to check out the NBU101 thread for some lessons.

    Welcome to campus.

    I have an interesting question.  As you can see I have been a NBU student for a while now.  I am returning here because I have gained a few extra pounds.  My question is:  In our Profile it shows the amount of weight we started and what our goal is. If we have started way back when and continuing on  Do we use our starting weight as of when we first started OR do we use our starting weight as of now and our current goal in our profile? Do we use a new picture and continue with the one we have posted already? Does it matter because our Avatars are beginning from our first enrollment or should they reflect  a  new weight loss avatar?  Thank you for your time. DB
