Welcome to the Provost’s Office
The Provost and the Dean of Student Activities occupy the offices in this building.
We have come to understand that for many newbies (students who are new to the 6WBMO or SMART Techniques) there are a lot of questions about how to make the most out of the programs. If you're new to online forum or to Provida, please take a few moments to check out NBU101. We've posted lessons on many of the basic things you'll want to know to post, etc.
If you have a question about something regarding your plan or NBU and you don’t see the answer to your question, just post it and I’ll get you the answer ASAP. We have also come to understand that some of our new students become frustrated with the navigational elements of posting and become overwhelmed before they really have a chance to get the basics of their program down. Students at NBU will find fine living accommodations, experienced advisors, and friends from around the world. But more importantly you’ll be receiving a first rate education. Regardless of your degree track (6WBMO or SMART), you’ll learn all you need to know to make this life style change a permanent one. We have high academic standards and we expect all our students to attend class (post often), participate in classroom projects and assignments (challenges), and most importantly maintain excellent grade point averages (earn your credits). We also require that our staff attend continuing education classes (stay on plan too) to ensure that we always have the best and the brightest. Each student should have their textbooks (6WBMO black book or SMART workbook) and study it regularly. We want all our students to do their best and set a goal to be listed on the Honor Roll each week.
This
semester’s schedule begins with enrollment starting January 3 followed
by Move In starting January 7th. Students begin to earn credits during
RUSH Week which kicks off on January 12th. We will accept late
enrollments until January 18th or until all the dorms are full. At that
point, prospective students are encouraged to attend New Body Community
College (and participate in campus activities for no credit) until the
next semester begins. NBCC enrollments will go through the end of Week
4 (February 8th). Credits will be earned through February 22nd and
Final credits are to be reported by students ON February 23rd.
If you still need to enroll, just follow the link in my signature for the Registrar’s Office. Complete enrollment details are posted there. On behalf of the faculty and staff of NBU, I welcome you. Thanks again for choosing NBU to pursue your degree.
