    Good afternoon everyone! Hope you are all doing good.

    Donna I loved your description of football! I don't watch any of the sports anymore. I am kinda "nerdy" when it comes to viewing TV. I look at the Food Channel, Nat. Geo., the Science channel, The History Channel and sometimes HGTV. I don't know when was the last time I actually watched CBS, NBC or ABC. I do know I really love my dish and it is worth every penny I pay for it each month.

    Lori you are so entergetic. This kind of weather makes me want to curl up and read a good book. I am ready for some sun and warm weather.

    Susan hope you are doing good. Please check in and let us know.

     CASSIE - so glad to hear your cancer markers are down....That's great news!

    CHERYL -  I have had 4 tomatoes, zukes and cukes, beans, all the spring stuff ...still have a head of cabbage out there & I have no idea when I should harvest it.... It's July.Should I just chop it? Love the WATERMELON approach to life..that makes so musch sense!

    JUDY - I hope HOPE  has settled in well. Yobee is much more comfortable, and acting like a teenager! Lots of energy, CRS syndrome! Thankfully, I think we "MIGHT" be housebroken.

    MONICA -  That 1st cup of coffee is the best, isn't it?

    DONNA -  I have Comcast here, and when it goes down, I am out of business. Thankfully, it doesn't happen often.

    Hello Gang!

    tried to post this morning & not really sure what happened.

    it has been rainy here. rained the last 2 nights & today also.

    watched a couple movies,   New in Town   and  Confessions of a shopaholic. both were good.

    today i went to the Bass outlet store. they had purses 40% off. i got a neat leather one . it is a melon color. not really red & not orange. just in between. should be fun for summer.

    Judy too,wow your garden is so far ahead of ours here in Colo. your lucky. all this rain has kept things cooler here.

    Cassie, sorry the rain is delaying the porch.

    Athena, that seems  cold for July....on the radio they are talking that it is ..  global cooling .. not warming as the government thought. gee

    Lori,  sorry to hear about the scalping.Crying it is hard to find a good hairdresser. at least hair seems to grows back faster when it is short.

     

    i have been doing real good on the 6 day mini plan. i had the grill doing most of the cooking for me last night. plus everything else i made large portion & then divide it all into my meals, so now eating is easy.

    crazy ...but my pants fell loser than they did last week. so well see.

    Well so much for 5 days of aquasizes. About the time I was to go all he--broke lose.  I was mixing up a salad and "bang"--looked out and the wind was blowing and raining and hailing and my pot blew over--this is the one I have had with the cornplant since 1976 and then the other plant and my beautiful red planter, went over and then the chair--it was a mad scramble to save stuff.  Got 2 inches of rain and lots of wind in that hour and the drainage ditch behind the house was on over flow.  Didn't blow that bike over on the patio but it must weigh a ton. lolol

    Cheryl I am so jealous of all that shopping.  Now I have to shop because I need a new pot.

    Put a stop to harvest in some places while others got nothing. So hard to get to town when those semi's parked on the main road for two blocks so came the country club road and worse, as their are lined up for two blocks and then you pass and hope no one is coming from the other direction lolol  In otherwards, stay home.

    Got a call today from the hospital and they want my backyard on the list for the hospitals money making project--kind of like open house at Christmas.  Okay will do it but now have to buy new pots boo hoo--well would have done that anyway.  The open house to the backyards is Sunday the 12th.  Few things to clean up but basically it is what it is. lolol

    Okay need to go to bed.  Looks like more storms.

    Cassie did you get any rain and storms today.  Looked like maybe on the radar.

    Good morning everyone! Happy 4th!

    Nope Lori we did not get any rain last night. It all went around us. Don't have to work today so got plenty of stuff planned that needs done. Hope they work on the porch but then who knows.

    Gotta get groceries today and then some lawn furniture needs painted. House needs cleaned and.....well you get the picture.

    Town had the fireworks display last night and the dogs didn't care for it. Tinker really was anxious. Thank goodness it only lasted about 40 minutes.

    Okay off to get dressed and start the day.

    Morning everyone. Hope you have a happy and safe 4th of July.

    Yesterday was another JAOP. I didn't quite get all  my water in.

    We had to cut or walk short yesterday. A little dog started following us but he would let me get close enough to look at his tags because Toby was so excited to see him. So I picked Toby up and he followed us all the way home. Got home in the fenced yard and let Toby loose so he could run and play but the little fella would not come close enough to look. We final coaxed him close enough an he had no collar or tags. This was the 3rd time I had seen the little fella on our walks. We took him to the vet to see if he had a chip and no chip. I've posted some signs at the park. We will see if we get a call.

    Keep up all the good work you losers.

    I better get to my walk.

    Morning all

    Jack have a great time.

    Cassie sounds like a regular weekend and hope the porch gets worked on.

    JoAnn what a darling little dog.

    Well I weighed in and my total loss for the 2 weeks is 10#  Now more to go. Sure goes off slowly but at least it is going off.

    Today I will jump off only slightly as I am baking slow cooked ribs--they have been sitting with the rub for 24 hours, then will slow bake in over and finally top off on the grill. Since my grill is a Coleman camp grill you do not put the lid down. Works for me and is small enough that doesn't take up much room

    Okay gotta eat

    I have no big plans for today. except tonight i would like to go into town & watch the fireworks

    i had to use my right to bare arms yesterday evening. DH had left the live-trap set over by the chicken coop. our younger dog Geni was goofing around their & good lord it was a SKUNK. a stinky skunk. of course it sprayed our dog. geeee  i got out my skunk order remover stuff & washed Geni down. P-U...

    so i had to take care of it .did it with one shell.....icky...  burried it this morning.

    Thanks gals--losing is fun especial when we are all doing it together.

    Cheryl I had to laugh, sorry, but the right to bear arms and one shot.  DON'T MESS WITH CHERYL KITTY KATS! 

    Been out trimming that mulberry tree and sweeping up the mess.  Geeze will be a thousand flies out there if it gets hot so will have to spray there too.  The pollen is coming down off the Linden trees and it looks like snow only this is yellow.  Will be doing pond cleaning every other hour for awhile.  Hope it all gets down soon.  The flowers aren't that hard but that pollen--yuk! 

    Okay time for snack--turkey and salad sounds wonderful

    Good morning everyone! Well the furkids and I survived another 4th of July. I think that Tinker Toy is going to be really tired today though. She just doesn't like those fireworks and is pretty vocal about it.

    I agree with you Lori......don't think we better mess with eagle eye Cheryl. What a shot! Also what a mess peweee.

    Susan how are you doing? Wish you would check in.

    Lori way to go on the 10#! You are on a roll! I got turkey cutlets yesterday and am going to cook them up today for lunches.

    Donna it will be nice to have Jane back again.

    Cassie I think Tinker Bell and Max would have made a great pair. Max whined all day; couldnn't even go into the bathroom without her shoving her way in.  DID NOT LIKE THE FIRECRACKERS to the point would not go out and potty grrrrrrrrrrrrr

    Lee took the chairs and put them out in the alley and we had a perfect spot as did a bunch of neighbors down the way.  Then we went to the club parking lot and watch many more.

    I did have some ribs and watermelon and corn on the grill so not entirely off kilter but today --all on plan and time if I get to making some turkey burgers.  I just love those dern things. Tried them on the grill and like mine better on the stove. Forgot those dern tureky cutlets.

    Hope everyone is having a great holiday and drive safely going home. Another farm accident out here; father had his 4 year out riding on the bale hauler, he fell off, dad ran over him.  How do you live with yourself after that kind of accidnet.  Just makes one hurt!

    The Linden trees are "snowing"  What a yellow mess lolol but still love the trees.

    It's been a week since chemo and I have no energy.  Yesterday was a bust.  I get up and feel ok, but as the day drags on, I'm exhausted.  I pulled weeds and went a few places with my daughter, but when she went to work, I went into my bed and read.

     

    Simon rang.  I have him trained ring a bell when he needs to go out.  Sometimes he uses it for attention.

     

    I hope you all have a wonderful holiday.  I had a bit of feeling sorry for myself when others talk of vacations....all my time is being sick.  I snap myself out of it and remember all the times I had before I got sick.  I do need some time off.

     

    Did I ask any of you if you raises alpacas?  I think I asked on facebook.  I still don't know what's going on their.  All those games, etc.

    Lost 6.6 on my first 6 days. Did not do the 6 day mini  but started it today. It feels so good to be back on the straight and narrow again.

    Congrats to all you losers!.

    Susan so good to see you again. Sorry your treatments have zapped your energy. Hope you make it through the rest easier. I know nothing about alpacas. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

    Had 1 call on the pouch the first night from someone that said he was out every morning. Me and Toby went on our walk this morning and there he was. We checked our yard and have no idea how he got out. Maybe he was barking and someone let him out. We didn't hear him. But he followed up home again so here he is back. He is very skiddish to people but very friendly with dogs. He is warming up to us slowly. But we have to keep a close watch on him in the house. He thinks all the furniture belongs to him so wants to mark it so everyone knows.

    It's almost snack time so I better go get my tuna cooked. I don't know much about cooking fresh tuna so hope it turns out ok. Think I am going to pepper, garlic powder and onion powder it and sear it in a skillet.

    Good Morning and congrats to all you losers.  Great Job!!!! 

    Its nice to check in here and find everyone on track.  It helps me stay on track too. I am down another pound this week - yoo hoo!! 

    Today is our 4th celebration.  My brother had to work yesterday and didn't get home till late so we are doing the BBQ today.  Small steaks, ranch style beans and salad.  Just the steak and salad for me as the beans are loaded with sugar.  I may just make some plain pinto beans and spice them up with some green chili....yum.

    The casino next to me had their fireworks on Friday evening.  I am always so scared that they will mis-fire and hit the house, but the wind was blowing everything away from us to that was good.  I still don't get why they can't do them on the other side of the casino - you know - AWAY from the houses - I guess it just makes too much sense for men to figure it out.  Sorry Jack, but you have to admit that women are more logical.

    Cassie and Susan - you remain in my prayers.

    Happy Sunday Gang!

    DH showed up yesterday afternoon. He was sick of rain. LOL rained at the lake every day & night that he was gone.

    rained here just before he had gotten home. so i did not make it into town to see the fire works. just watched them from the comfort of our dinning room.

    So we went out & got 9 holes of Golf in this Morning. i did okay plus got to wear one of my new golf outfits. ha ha maybe that made me play better? LOL

     

     I hope you all did good with the holiday!

     

    i had a hard time on plan yesterday.Crying maybe holiday/ foodIck! mindset ?

    not sure what happened...gee, it was bad & i was alone. so no you else to blame, but me.Embarrassed

    ...i am still learning how to handle holidays.   i know it is just my mindset.

    growing up food was the biggest thing about the holiday. food was a bigger deal than family or anything else, or at least it seems like that. looking back.

    just a hard for me to over come this.

     

    the good news is

    that today i am doing much better.
