Kelly....way to go staying POP!  How's the scale moving for you?

Mine actually moved more through no fault of my own!  LOL!

I went yesterday to the gym to weigh in for my 8 week review and I told the lady my weight and said the scale still won't register (it only goes up to 350).  Guess what, she made me get on it anyway and the scale said 348.5!  I was so excited!  My scale at home had gone back up so basically, I went home and got on it and it said 360 that time!  sooooooooooooo, just by sticking with it and not giving up I did lose weight it's just my scale is broken!  So I'm going to use her scale at the gym for my weekly weigh ins.  She told me digital scales are very tricky and at my weight even though it says it's okay it can tweak the readings.  But I'm HAPPY!!!!!!!

    Next up, the 330's!!!!

Hi Kel - I promised I would get on here today and here I am.

Thanks for calling me - it was nice to talk with you and get to know you a little better.  It's great to put a voice with a face.

I decided not to go to water aerobics todays since I am feeling a little under the weather.  I thought I would take it easy for one day and not do any exercise.  I think my body needs a rest.  However, I did stay POP today so that's good.

So waht is all this about LA??  What am I missing.  See what happens when you are out of touch. :)

I'll try to get on here a little more often.  It's harder now that summer is here because there is always so much to do outside.

Hope to see Sonya on here one of these days.

leaving a note on the dresser-

My fabulous friends..I have been gone ages-- feels a lot longer, though.....- lots of things happening... been gone most of June: California, San Antionio, Dallas, Texarkana, Sulphur Springs, and the doctor's office at least twice a week. Just had a biopsy on my thyroid today. In lots of pain. Thought about you guys...I am still an Ibabe.

Heyy!!! Heyy! Heyyy! I want to say congrats to Tice and Mel both for outstanding and awesome news about LA! ( although I haven't read all of the posts yet). I can't tell you how proud I am of you- both, and to have been there during some of your journey. Crying I shed tears of absolute joy for you!!

Kel, Jody, and Glen...  ok ladies! What do you say about getting this stuff off?! Congrats are also in order for you guys! Jody- Yes, get a new scale hunny for goodness sake! LOL Kel- you can always speak freely here. No one is gonna be mad. You are doing a great job too! Glenda- haven't read that far back- just glad to see you!

Haven't reached my goal yet- DH is laid off for awhile- but we still have the side business which is keeping us afloat. I love you guys and sorry for not being here. They do have computers in all the places I mentioned- just haven't felt like being accountable with all the happenings. Embarrassed I am sorry to have let you guys down- I really have to work on me.... Can you say- stressed out? LOL  Anyway- I love you guys and will talk soon...

<<peeking back around the corner - hiding from the ipatrol Mel sent out>> hehehe-

Hey ladies I hope you are having a great 3 day weekend!

SONYA'S BACK!  HELLO SONYA!  WE MISSED YOU!

I saw the cutest thing today!  I went to get a pedicure at a new beauty school here in town.  There was an older lady (about late 70's early 80's) there who sat and chatted with me while we waited.  I'm getting my pedicure, she's getting her hair set and she's telling her girl how she has a "date" tonight with a nice gentleman so she had to come and get her hair done for the special occassion!  She then wanted to get her nails done too!  It was so cute!  She was acting like a teenager!

I got my new program at the gym.  This woman is diabolical and is going to kill me!  LOL!

Four days a week and I have to do:

40 minutes treadmill, up the speed, circuit three times on four (weight setting)

40 minutes treadmill up the incline, tons of ab work (YEAH!)

40 minutes elliptical (YEAH, RIGHT!) arms and more arms

40 minutes cardio my choice, arms and abs

I think it's going to be good and get good results but dang, 40 minutes on the elliptical?  I just got up to 20!  So my goal is at the end of the 8 weeks be on there 40 minutes.  I'm just going to work my way up to it!

I have 3 job interviews this week!  I was getting discouraged because the phone wasn't ring.   Monday is second job interview  at the hospital, Tuesday is with the state, and Thursday is with a local insurance company.  I hope one pans out!  I'm nervous about being unemployed!  I know it was my doing but dang!

I must say my job was a HUGE part of my problem!  My eating is under control (I tested as a repeat offender, but now I know it's emotional!), I have more energy than I have had in years and DH keeps asking me if I'm on drugs because I haven't been like this in 10 years.  And the weight?  I'm staying off the scale, but the clothes are definetely getting bigger!  YEAH ME!

    HAVE A GREAT FOURTH EVERYONE!

Hey - my sons think that someone my age can't lose the weight with this program.  They all say that someone like me who is 57 years of age and has had six kids doesn't stand a change of getting my weight down and my body back in order.  What do you guys think about that?  Do you think I am just beating myself to death for something that is not achievable?  Do you know anyone that has done it??

    Have a great 4th July

Glenda....I have a friend who is the same age as you...and she just lost...just over 100 lbs....so just you tell your sons to be more supportive....not negative....and to be there for there mom....my son is 26 and if I am with him and I even look at the wrong food....he says mom are you allowed that....you are doing so good...dont even think it....

Glenda....we just have to work alittle harder....when we reach middle age....but we can do this....we will do this together.....every lady here....is here for the same reason and we are all together....for each other.....

so please....just know you CAN DO IT.......when you start thinking of ick....just think to your self....I CAN SEE MYSELF THIN.....I KNOW I CAN DO IT....I BELIEVE IN MYSELF....and what you think is all that matters.....our families are just a bonus....we have to do this for ourselves...

talk to you later.....take care......stay strong

Glenda, I too think you can do this!  You just need to find the right foods for you that you love and it will be easy!  One of my new favorites is the cilantro chicken!  It's to die for!

Now, what I have found that has helped me the most is stuff in the freezer.  It's easy so easy to eat if it's all done up and all I have to do is cook oatmeal or slice a peach to go with it!  Let's face it, I'm lazy and I admit it!

As for your age, it shouldn't be a factor.  My best friend's mom lost 150 pounds by simply going to the Y everyday and running in the pool.  She started at just about 300 pounds and is down to 142.  If it wasn't for the skin, I bet she' be in he 120's!  While I admit she didn't do this plna, my point is she's 70 and has done this in the last 12 months!

    Hi I babes,

    Happy Fourth of July!!!

Nice to see such positive attitudes and energy in this thread!

Jody, wow what a change in attitude I see in you since our first dorm together! You are just doing great and so many things are turning around for you. Good luck in the hunt for a new job, but mostly I'm just so proud and happy for you on your new found exictement for losing the weight. It is one thing to say over and over again, I just have to do this or just have to do that, but it is another thing entirely to committ to it and stick with it to the end.

Babes, I know it's hard to committ, especially to ourselves sometimes, but that is what you have to do to get this finished. Stick with it to the end! If we take a break for special occasions or for this reason or the other, it will never get done. You'll never get to your goal and it will be just losing the same weight over and over. Just because your family has a special get together doesn't mean that you HAVE to eat off plan. They will still get together and have fun with you if you are eating like you NEED to lose weight. And they will respect you so much more for it. I love going to family functions now and hearing the positive comments that they are making about me. They are proud of me, and I deserve it! I stuck to this to the end, and they didn't mind if I didn't eat all the ick while I was doing it. I don't care how old, or young you are, if you follow this plan without cheating, you'll lose the weight. Prove the nay sayers wrong. You can do it I Babes!

Sonya, how are you doing? Sorry you're stressed. What is your husbands side business? Computers? Hope that is all going well for you. What's this about your thyroid? I was tested as hypo thyroidism. Of course, I can't get the one that burns too fast! LOL I'm pretty sure that being on this plan has changed that around. Just curious, do you drink diet pop (soda)? Anyway, hang in there and try to get here for some love. You deserve it. Do you still mentor that young boy? (i think it was a boy)

Mell, are you back from vaca yet? How did it go? Any baby? Did you try to get your flight changedd? I'm getting really nervous, and have just a ton to organize before I can go, but what ever. I'll probably come bald because of all the work and things I need to get done first.

Later babes. Remember to Stick To It Till The End!

    Tice
