    Hey Ladies!

Not exactly a good couple of days for me.  I haven't eaten op, but not awful.  The big this this week has been missing meals due to an extraordinary schedule.  I have to get back on track tomorrow.  How is everyone else doing this week?

Hey ladies, I'm still alive (thanks for asking Monica). Haven't been online much in the past couple weeks, been putting in alot of extra hours at work trying to help my students finish up these papers (that they need to graduate).  I have been exhausted and being there so late has caused me to snack on whatever is around.  I'm not gaining or losing, I'm stuck. I know that i have to do better, I can't wait until next week (the week after this one coming up) because i will done with work for a week and can spend that plan focusing on really getting into the plan before summer school starts. I intend on to really make some huge strides this summer and build a routine i can take into the fall.  I hope everyone is doing well, it's raining here in NY.

Can I join your group? This is just what I've been looking for! My name is Rachael and I am 28 years old. I began the 6 Week Makeover on June 8th, 2009 and have lost 10 pounds and 13.4 inches so far! I am beyond ecstatic! I have been trying to lose weight for the past five years or so with little success but this program really works and I feel so good because it's a healthy lifestyle change. I am really motivated and would love to be accountable to others along this same journey.

Well, hope to hear from you and have a POP day!!

     Hey there!

Thanks for the welcome Shirley! Wonderful to make my first 6WBM Buddy! So what made you decide to start losing the weight? I got motivated when my hubby and I were considering starting our family and I realized that my being overweight was playing a factor in me wanting to get pregnant or not. I drew the line there. Weight was dictating enough already and was not going to have a say so in something so precious. After I got going, we decided that we'll wait before we start trying for children just a bit longer but my motivation to get to my healthy weight and to live a healthier lifestyle has momentum and I'm doing it all for me. I want to be comfortable again and I can't wait to see how my body is going to look after these 6 weeks! I may have to stay on the program a couple of extra weeks before I get to my ideal weight depending on how fast the pounds and inches go but I don't care, I am determined! Soon, we'll be living lean! Can you imagine it! It's going to be so great!

     HI All!!!  Welcome new people!

I'm back from Lithuania and had a great time.  It was a rewarding experience.  I wasn't able to eat OP at all and gave up even trying. The food was very tasty but everything I ate hurt my stomach and made me bloated. I've been afraid to get on the scale since I've been home but my clothes are tighter on me.  Since home I've gone on a couple good walks and have made myself eat only veggies for the last 2 days.

Monday I'll be starting at ground zero again.  I'll also be meeting with the nutritionist that day as well so I'm excited about that.   I've been doing some reading on natural cures and am implimenting some changes.   I'm going to do my best to go organic, although organic free ranged meat is extremely pricy so I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that yet.  My produce and grains will be organic though.  I also learned that floride (in our water and toothpaste) leads to thyroid problems.  Interestingly I was made to swish with floride when I was little because my teeth were soft....probably due to all the antibiotics I was on for ear aches when I was a baby....which was probably more food allergies than ear infections.  It is interesting to see how one thing has led to another to mess up my body all these years.

Anyway, I'm back on the wagon an have to get this weight off.

Hello Ladies! Another great week is here with the 4th of  July holiday approaching extremely fast. This summer is flying by I can't believe it is July already. I have to share my experience at one of my favorite local Italian eateries where I live. My family and I went out for dinner one night and I ordered my usual crab stuffed flounder over penne pasta, but added a fresh salad with light dressing. To my surprise when I ordered my food I asked the waitress for my food to be prepared with no cheese and they obliged. I ate my salad, drank two glasses of water and a small portion of my entree and was F-U-L-L. I believe my stomach has shrink LOL. I boxed up the rest and gave to my husband for work the next day. That entree was enough for 3 people to eat. How awesome did that make me feel to be able to not overindulge at one of my favorite spots and more importantly I did it without thinking. In addition to my 12lbs lost thus far, it seems this program has definitely given me great tools to a healthier way of living. Just thought I'd share ;)

~Rachel#1 ~Welcome back! Happy that you enjoyed your trip. Good luck with your nutritionist.

~Karyn ~ Congrats on your weight loss. You'll be able to change your avatar very soon dear.

I"m basically having to start from square one, but I met with the nutritionist and we are starting me on a plan that will help me to reach my goal and something that I can live with for my whole life and not just consider it a temporary "diet".

Having a Labor Day goal will be good.  I'm taking my best friend to Seattle for the weekend and plan to see a man that I've become friends with, so I want to look good.

Has anyone figured out an average daily caloric intake on this plan?  When I calculated a "good" day, it was quite low.  Just wondering if anyone else has calculated their intake.

     Hi Ladies,

Tomorrow is the 4th.  Hope that everyone made progress towards their goals even if it wasn't fully achieved.  My nutritionist has had me write down everything I eat plus calories, fat, sat fat, and protien grams.  This will help her to determine good intakes for me.  I've had a good eating week though and lost 5#.  I wasn't starving and didn't feel like I was depriving myself.  I had a little olive oil and salt on things, some almonds and almond butter.  Even had 5 gummy bears.  I feel much more sain eating this way and not having to obsess so much.  Of course I have to stay away from all foods I tested positive for in the allergy testing, but that is a whole other issue.

Also, I went to Goodwill because I needed some clothes to fit and didn't want to spend much money since I don't plan on staying this size.  I found some great gap skirts, ann taylor loft pants, DKNY tank.  Each were about $5 and in great condition.  So if any of you ladies are needing "temporary" clothes due to weight changes, Goodwill seems to be a good place to go.  At least the one by me is.

     Happy 4th of July.

    Rachel
