I am on humble knees right now and need a serious kick in the butt!

I have not been POP at all this week, I haven't exercised, I haven't been active in our dorm, I am completely behind in reading posts and I'm just feeling overwhelmed.    If I don't get back on track immediately, then this will be 2 weeks that I've not been on plan.   My body is hurting, my stomach is upset from all the ick, and I just feel blah.  OH, and I just realized that I was supposed to be the dorm snoop and completely forgot!

I'm apologizing to everyone for being such a loser, bringing down the group grade and not following through on my promises.

Tomorrow I pledge to re-start my POP plan and finish out the next week strong. 3 days of POP is better than none at all.

OK, I feel better after getting this off my chest. Thanks for listening and I'll be here tomorrow to get my day started off right.

    Have a good night everyone.

Sorry I am late for our Wed event. Wed being Orchestra practice, I got baptized Sunday so everyone wanted to talk to me, Boss is out of the office so it was work, to practice, to bed...so here's my dessert recipe:

    Bananas in Chocolate Sauce
    __________________________________________________________________________

From member lostrose. This is a quick throw-together I made one night when the chocolate monster attacked. It was painfully simple, and good!

Red BMOS Note: Since the original recipe called for an off-plan ingredient, cocoa powder, I've updated this recipe to make it more plan-friendly.

    • 1 small banana, cut in small bites
    • 1 tablespoon Torani or DaVinci chocolate flavored syrup (or flavor of your choice)

Pour syrup over banana chunks and enjoy.

    Compatible with Body Type:
    Breakfast B-C-E
    Morning Snack B
    Lunch
    Afternoon Snack A
    Dinner
    PM Snack A-C

    This Recipe Contains: Fruit B

How do I measure out a serving?

I still think that caramel apple smoothie is an awesome dessert...I just hold the egg if its evening snack. YUMMO!

You're right Karen, I have a ton of linking to do now!  AWESOME!

Thanks you Sandy, that is really sweet! Thank you too Mary Beth and Kimson...I hope to repeat last weeks loss again this week!  That should give me a shot at being size 6 for the infomercial.

    Enjoy the consequences

You cannot get something for nothing. And you cannot get nothing for something.

Every action has a certain and unavoidable consequence. Everything you do makes a difference in one way or another.

Whether that fact is a blessing or a curse is completely up to you. For just as surely as you choose your actions, you do indeed choose your consequences.

The value that you experience in life is precisely equal to the value that you put into life. You can make your journey a miserable burden, or you can make it a joyous celebration.

What you do with what you have makes all the difference in the world. And now is your opportunity to create a vast, sparkling treasure of experience and fulfillment.

This very day, you can stop struggling to avoid the consequences and start to thoroughly enjoy them. Give your authentic best to every moment, and delight in the magnificent consequences of your positive actions.

Really Bad Thunder Storms and hail last night so I didn't get to POP in - I was hoping to catch up and get ahead last night.  Today I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off.

Trying to pack for 4 people, gather everything up food and drink wise and then load up the vehicle.   We are off to teresort.com  Check it out.  We have a house boat for 4 days - DH can get in all the bass fishing he wants and I get the pool, spa, resort, and nature trails....Woo Hooo   I can't wait !

I gotta run - time to load the vehicle and get the cooler ready.

There is BAD news though - No Computer - I will be on LOA from today through Monday - I hope ya'll can forgive me.

HAPPY 4TH TO EACH OF YOU !   HUGE HUGS !

Kirby will be popping in on ya'll, so No trashing the dorm......LOL

DEE and Sheila I am sure the two of you can keep things under control !

    Question Of The Day

    Thursday 7/02/09

Have you ever been at your goal weight as an Adult?

OH YEAH!  When I met my DH and when I got married in 1996. I really didn't put on a lot of weight until I was put on a bunch of medication 8 years ago.  Of the 8 on am on 5 have weight gain as a potential side effect.  It is really really hard sometimes it just feels like you are beating your head against a wall while trying to kick your way out of a wet paper bag.  I will be on this medication for my lifetime, but I am relying on God to help me get this weight off in spite of what medication is doing to my body weight.

    Never felt better
An old farmer was on his way for a night out on the town. He loaded his old hound dog into the buggy, had his favorite horse pulling the buggy and was on his way. He just rounded a curve when a speeding Mercedes ran into the back of his rig wiping him out. After months of recovering he finally had his day in court. The defense called the local sheriff as a witness.

Defense Lawyer: "Did the plaintiff have anything to say when you approached him at the scene of the accident?"

The sheriff replied, "yes the plaintiff said, I never felt better."

Well the plaintiff's lawyer was very upset and whispered to farmer, "Did you really say that?"

The farmer said, "I sure did, but don't worry, just put me on the stand."

So, the plaintiff's lawyer called the farmer and asked, "Did you really say, you 'never felt better'?"

The farmer replied, "I sure did. But you gotta understand. When the sheriff came on the scene, he went over to my dog who was badly injured, bleeding, looked down at him, shook his head, then shot the dog. Then he walked over to my horse who had broken legs, really hurt bad, looked down at him, shook his head, then shot the horse. Then the sheriff came over, looked down at me and asked how I felt. I replied, "I never felt better".

    Andy Rooney's Humor

On Prisoners: Did you know that it costs forty-thousand dollars a year to house each prisoner? Jeez, for forty-thousand bucks apiece. I'll take a few prisoners into my house. I live in Los Angeles. I already have bars on the windows.

I don't think we should give free room and board to criminals. I think they should have to run twelve hours a day on a treadmill and generate electricity. And if they don't want to run, they can rest in the chair that's hooked up to the generator.

On Fabric Softeners: My wife uses fabric softener. I never knew what that stuff was for. Then I noticed women coming up to me, sniffing, then saying under their breath, "Married!" and walking away. Fabric softeners are how our wives mark their territory. We can take off the ring, but it's hard to get that April fresh scent out of your clothes.

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

On Morning Differences: Men and women are different in the morning. We men wake up aroused in the morning. We can't help it. We just wake up and we want you. And the women are thinking, "How can he want me the way I look in the morning?" It's because we can't see you. We have no blood anywhere near our optic nerve.

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

On Phone-In-Polls: You know those shows where people call in and vote on different issues? Did you ever notice there's always like 18% that say "I don't know." It costs 90 cents to call up and vote and they're voting "I don't know." Honey, I feel very strongly about this. Give me the phone. Says into phone "I DON'T KNOW!" (Hangs up looking proud.) Sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe you're not sure about." This guy probably calls up phone sex girls for $2.95 to say "I'm not in the mood."

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

On Cripes: My wife's from the Midwest. Very nice people there. Very wholesome. They use words like "Cripes". "For Cripe's sake." Who would that be ... Jesus Cripe's? The son of "Gosh" of the church of "Holy Moly"? I'm not making fun of it. You think I wanna burn in "Heck"?

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

On Grandma: My grandmother has a bumper sticker on her car that says, "Sexy Senior Citizen." You don't want to think of your grandmother that way, do you? Out entering wet shawl contests. Makes you wonder where she got that dollar she gave you for your birthday.

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

On Answering Machines: Did you ever hear one of these corny, positive messages on someone's answering machine? "Hi, it's a great day and I'm out enjoying it right now. I hope you are too. The thought for the day is: Share the love. 'Beep.'"

Uh, yeah ... this is the VD clinic calling. Speaking of being positive, your test results are back. Stop sharing the love."

    Happy Friday!

Today has been a good day and I'm ready to relax.  Some friends are coming over and we're watching He's Just Not That Into You.  I heard it wasn't that good but we still wanted to watch it.

Dee: Thanks for the kick in the pants! I really needed it.

    Have a safe weekend everyone.

    Question Of The Day

    Thursday 7/02/09

Have you ever been at your goal weight as an Adult?

You betcha!!!  20 years ago or so! I took my time gaining it.  55 pounds with first baby lost 45 then 7 pounds a year for 10 years then 7 pounds with baby two, didn't lose any, then 5 pounds a year for 9 years.  Plus or minus a pound here and there!

    Precious freedom

Freedom is what makes the very best possibilities possible. It is truly a treasure that nothing else can replace.

Freedom does not guarantee any specific result, and that is in fact its beauty. Instead, freedom gives you the priceless opportunity to create your own results.

Freedom taps into the awesome power of each unique individual. Freedom is the fertile ground from which magnificent achievements spring forth with unceasing vigor.

The demands of freedom are great. To live with freedom requires effort and discipline, commitment and sacrifice.

Yet the rewards of freedom are even greater. For in freedom you truly become the best you can be.

Resolve today, and every day, to make the most of the precious freedom that is yours.

Here are my plans for today -

Go to the beach - we have a drive on  beach nearby, DH, DD and I go every July 4th, drive along beach, stop, pull chairs out and veg right where we stop!

Make nice lunch - DD had to work tonight so no grilling

Read - I am reading my all time favorite book Ashes in the Wind by Kathleen Woodiwess.

Watch Independence Day - family tradition for past  5 yrs...gotta save the world from those nasty aliens!

Too bad we live in a beach town - there are like 5 fireworks displays, but all are crowded with vacationers...what we need is a secret firework display for locals only, now that would be terrific!

That's it..so, what are YOUR plans???

    Question Of The Day

    Thursday 7/02/09

Have you ever been at your goal weight as an Adult?

Yes... After I gave birth to my 2nd child, I decided I was going to lose the weight.  I did it the BAD way, tho'.  I stopped eating pretty much.  We were very poor, and I figured that if I ate VERY little and sometimes not at all - there would be more food for the boys.  I was going thru a divorce, so child support was non-existant.  I was making just a little more than min. wage and we were dirt poor.  I was probably eating less than 400 calories a day (if that).  I got down to about 130 pounds (and I'm 5' 9").  You could see my ribs and it was not a good place to be.  My mother thought I was anorexic.  It wasn't until after I had re-married and had my 3rd child (and only daughter) that the weight went back up.  I discovered that I had married another abuser and was devestated and depressed.  My life was in a mess and the guilt that I felt was overwhelming because I had put my boys  in a situation that would leave them scarred (mentally).  Luckily I left that situation before my daughter was born - but I remained single for the next 21 years.  Then I met Steve and my life changed.
