     Hi All

First off...what does ICK stand for? I dont get it.

Secondly..Deb the BB pics are sooo cute!

Thirdly. I dont know about where you live but we have these things called...

TAXI'S  (yes i am being sarcastic)

Maybe introduce the idea to your SIL?? Hes gonna be packing up mommy,  and baby every morning to get daddy to work?? Thats insane!

This must be BB#1 I presume. They dont know what they're in for lol.

    Donna

Donna- I liked your ICK question. When I first started this it was confusing like everyone was talking code. Never be afraid to ask. I do like ICK because then you don't hear about a food that might tempt you.

I have to remark about ARC Gail's recipe the Original Psycho Chicken.   This is the best roasted chicken that I have ever cooked!   Don't replace it with a turkey, won't be the same.  I used a whole big chicken, over 4#.   I use about 2 cups of sauvignon blanc wine and I use leaf thyme.  Put the measuring spoon in the leaf thyme and then fill in the measuring spoon with some ground thyme.

My whole house smells yummy and I wish I had remembered to take a picture.  I will next time and will post it.

    YUMMY!!!!!   Kudos to Gail!!!

Well, I called my husband at work and when he answered I asked for Ebenezer Schrooge.   He said you mean me.  I said yes.   He laughed.   After a while he said, does this mean I am going to turn green.   Geesh, I didn't say Grinch, I said Schrooge - you know Tiny Tim.  He said he knew.

We are expecting in Iowa a Snowstorm and ice storms starting today through Christmas.    DO NOT WANT THIS!!!

     Help-

It is 2 days after Christmas and all the ICK is finally disapearing until my husband just came home (8:44 pm) with a grocery bag with only 2 ICK items. I am going to hide out on the computer and stay away from useless sugar!

Hope everyone had wonderful Christmas times with their families and friends.

I am so proud of you and the attitude with your DH's ICK.   I have forwarned mine too.   Nothing comes in beyond the garage.

Starting January 14th my work is doing the Govenor's Live Healthy Iowa challenge and Casey's is giving big prizes, like $100 shopping card to mall, $200 cash for best losing group, then $100, then $50, or a free day of vacation, plus many others.  Talk about incentive.   I also signed up on Biggest Loser website for the pound for pound food challenge and declared I will lose 30# by April.     I decided if I was going that far, I had just as well do a personal challenge with myself to donate pound for pound of food to our local food pantry at our church through April.   I have also set up mini goals for each week that I would lose 3#.   Which tells me I can't wait until the last few days of the week to do well, I will need to be on the Provost List and do well each and every day.   Here are some of my ideas for reaching my mini goals.

    1. eye brows waxed
    2. hair cut and styled
    3. Harry Potter DVD
    4. a specific Nora Roberts paperback book
    5. new pair of shoes

Hi everyone, well i am proud of myself.  Well were to begin.  With this month being a lot of distractions and then this last week and half not eatting on time and some foods not on plan i was really worried that i had gained a lot of weight. Plus with little on e not eatting and me not getting the rest that ones body needs really plays a lot as well.  However, I am Happy to report i was able to stay at the 190.2 from a week and half ago when i weighed in.  Party!!!

My clothes are fitting a little looser as well which is good.  I don't want to check the inches until i get my dorm.  Mainly to give myself time to readjust to everything again.

I am to excited about the new semester starting as well.  Well i got out today with DGS and DH.  (DH came home for 2 nights).  DH said that i had been cooped up to long and we went and walked around walmart, then went to lunch then walked around Best Buys.  boy Taking a little one to these stores (well DH too)  its hard to just stand still and look at something.  it was look at this then look at this a go go go thing.  which is good but tiring as well mainly because each were pulling/calling me to go different directions.lol

well going to go and shall talk with you all later.

Anastasia Thank you for your comment. They are great and i had a great time spending time with them all. The older one lives with us and he is our first grandson. Will have to try at another store later this week to see about the caribbean Citrus (ms Dash) seasoning. the wal mart i went to today didn't have it. Happy New year to everyone. Can't wait for new semester to start.

Debbie- I buy my Mrs. Dash at Super Target. They have a ton of different ones.

    Hi Everyone!

Well tomorrow morning I weigh in to see what all my bad behavior has done to my weight. I will say I was planning on doing better but it was so tough. On the brighter side this was the least amount of ICK I have ever had during this season so that is good. A few of my favorites I never even touched.

    Happy New Year, Anastasia

This is my second attempt at posting.  Hope I don't lose it again.

Happy New Year!   I hope 2010 brings you all out with the weight loss you desire!   Looks like most of you have signed up for NBU.   We will be checking into dorms around midnight on Wednesday night or shortly after.  (ANYWAY it will be posted).

Debbie, I love Mrs. Dash and use them quite frequently.  I am so proud of you being able to maintain over the holidays.  Got some extra exercise at Wal-Mart and Best Buy.  LOL

Anastasia - Anxious to see your weigh-in tomorrow.  I bet you did a great job over the holidays too.

My DH surprised me with a Wii.  We had our Christmas with kids and grandchildren on Saturday afternoon.   I even have the Fitness and one of Jillian's workouts that I have bought.  I am hoping this will all help me with balance and endurance.

Spring is on the way!  Anyway, I certainly hope so.   We have had around 60+ inches of snow in Iowa this winter and lots of constant ice.

I won't be managing this thread during break.  Too many things going on right now, and I truly need a break.  Please - anyone is welcome to pick up and go on and chat here if nothing else.

Hope to see everyone back in NBU when Spring semester opens up.

Hi There My name is Lauri, I have requested a Golden Ticket for entry at NBU, So when does spring semester start?  Still pretty new to this started 1-19-10. have not used but one thread, I'm braodining my self, I am glad to have found this thread I have 65 more pounds to lose, so I'll be doing the plan for about 12 more weeks or so, Maybe longer depends on how long it takes me to reach my goal weight. Then I may decide to lose more.

Nice meeting you have a good day.

    Lauri

    Hi Lauri:

I am not doing this thread during break this time.  Too much going on in my life but NBU will be starting.  Here is the information posted by our Provost Rachel.   Enrollment is Saturday in NBU.

As a new student at New Body University, there are a number of rules and guidelines of which you need to be very familiar.

Everyone following the 6WBMO, SMART plan, or who is Living Lean is accepted for admission into this University game.

This semester’s schedule begins with enrollment starting March 6th followed by Move In starting March 10th. Students begin to earn credits during RUSH Week which kicks off on March 15th. Enrollments will go through the end of Week 4 (April 11th). Credits will be earned through April 25th and Final credits are to be reported by students ON April 26th.

Dorm assignments are made on a random basis.

You will be earning academic credits for following the 6WBMO or SMART plan guidelines (food—7, water—7, accelerated fat loss—5, and body sculpting—2).
