    Hi everyone,

Just checking in this evening. I had a nice Girl Scout management team meeting tonight and I always come home too reved up to sleep right away. That's a good thing. I have a fundraising proposal due tomorrow, so I was getting some last minute input.

Arlene--I'm glad you are feeling positive about your health issues. Try not to turn to food. I know it's hard, but then you have more problems to deal with. You know, the guilt of having eaten something instead of treating yourself right. I'm glad you didn't quit.

    Joyce--You amaze me. 'nuf said.

Raven--Stay inside. We don't want to lose you!

Beth--Thanks for the PM. If I could, I'd write you back, but Provida is pretty difficult for me right now. Anyway, I think I AM eating enough.

Shirley--Yes, I certainly hope they are permanently gone pounds. They keep showing up for a party. I guess I'd better tell them the party is over. Do we have a challenge tomorrow?

Okay, I'm going to try to sleep now.

What was your favorite childhood outdoor activity?

My favorite outdoor activity as a child was to get together with my friends, we'd have a portable record player outside and dance up a storm. We did lots of dances like the salsa and whatever other dances were current at the time.

Good morning dormies ~ looks like I've got a head start on you today. I'm making breakfast, probably sausage and fruit, and already drank 22 oz. of water. I've been up since 2:30...couldn't sleep, so got some transcription done. So many opportunities falling into my lap at present...don't want to et overwhelmed.

I plan on going out to dinner with friends and former co-workers, and look forward to seeing them again. It's been a while. My ex boss is coming into town, and I haven't seen her since she left Buffalo.

We're expecting snow tomorrow, thankfully I don't have to go shopping, I have plenty of food. Thank goodness for my deep freezer. Spatz is here with his head on my lap, needs some attention. Gotta give him a good brushing and he goes to the spa on Saturday. I'll be back later to read your posts. Have a great and blessed morning all!

Good morning all you wonderful Lights ~

Wow, do I feel fantabulous, I mean fantabulous!!!!!!!!!  I love working out in the morning.

Looks like we have the snow coming today that hit Raven yesterday.  Yuck.  I'm just glad you're okay Raven and you DH is okay.  And I'm sure all the cows are going to be just fine, too.

Snow is nice but I've had enough already.  I'm so ready to get outside and work in the yard.  I can't wait to plant the flowers and mow the yard and just be outside with my kids and the birds and everything.

I was totally POP yesterday and I'm ready to POP away today again.  I'm also ready for the playground challenge.  Bring on the challenges.  Let's all do it together and succeed.  The only way we can go is down, and that's losing weight and inches.  I'm the type that once I get started doing something that I totally believe in, WATCH OUT.  HERE COMES LORI~

I hope everyone has a wonderful POP day today and I will check back in later.

See all you wonderful "losing" Lights later.

Lori, Kate, and Fatima--I feel revived after reading your posts.

I turned off the alarm and didn't get up this morning.  Thank goodness the cat came and sat on my back.  I got up an hour late, but that was the hour I reserve for me.  Guess I needed the sleep and I'm still trying to NOT get a cold.

    Stay POP!   Joyce

Good Morning Everyone. What a difference a day makes when you get a good nights sleep. I swear I was asleep on the chair last night at 8. And slept most of the night.

Now if I can get through the day without having a nervous breakdown. We're supposed to get a storm starting tonight and I don't know what I am going to do with 40 patients for tomorrow. We are already booked until the end of February and I know when I say that is when their next appointment is going to be, well let me tell you how I am going to get screamed at. Famous phrase 'YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME'  I must have had at least over 200 reschedules since the beginning of the year. There is just so many hours in the day when you can see patients. They don't understand that there are days that the doctor is at the hospital before the day starts, at lunch and sometimes meets patients family after work. You have to have some time to sleep. OH WELL. I can only hope for the best and expect the worst. Sometimes I get surprised that way.

Lori, pass that energy on to me this AM.

    Fatima have a wonderful birthday.

Raven, I hope you made it through the night.

This is how I am going to be drinking my coffee when I loose all my weight LOL

    Good Morning Graphic

What was your favorite childhood outdoor activity?

I had the best childhood in the best neighborhood with the best friends. I think the one thing that stands out is we would take turns in each others yards and build tents out of old bed sheets or quilts hung over clotheslines and kept together with clothes pins. We would have six or seven lined up and we would decorate them with old stuff our moms would give us. We would start early in the morning and have breakfast and lunch in them. Supper was always at home. We would catch fireflies and take them in the tents with us at night. Then at 9 o'clock PM the fire whistle would blow and we knew that was the end of our night. We'd take the tents down and go to someone elses yard the next day. Oh, yea. Had to have the transistor radio with us at all times.

Thanks for this QOTD. It made me smile. Oh, I wish I could go back in time or even had pictures of those days.

Do you ever have one of those days where you're just short tempered for no good reason?  I've had one of those days and I've been trying hard to battle it.  I am not being a good mom today because I keep changing my mind.  DS will ask if he can do something and I'll immediatly say NO then when I think about it, it really would be fine for him to do that so then I let him. Poor kid is getting major mixed signals from me today.  He's pretty sharp, so maybe when he's getting ready for bed I'll explain to him that sometimes you just have those days.

Happens to me all the time. It's a bummer, and it is something that I am praying diligently about and trying to change. I'm a slammer too, and it has cost me some material posessions. LOL A broken cupboard door is a constant reminder that I lose it in unproductive ways. I think I maybe broke something yesterday too, when my DD argued with me about going up and getting some TP for the downstairs bathroom. Embarrassed

Who doesn't have the occasional short-tempered-for-no-reason days? I think it where inconsistent parenting stems from. But why do they always fight us over the stupid little things like carrying something upstairs or fetching something from another room? It's not like we are just sitting there ordering them around - haven't they noticed that we have been busy for hours and just want them to help out a little? I know the answer of course.

Arleen, Here's a little something for you. Those kidney stones are a "pain" LOL.  DH had quite a few bouts with them so I kinda know what you are going through. Hope they pass soon.

Hi Mary and Beth, I'm just so glad your posting in here and sticking it out. You'll get that food POP and lose next week. Were your non pop days on the weekend? ~ I'll tell ya, I can never figure out why it takes two weeks to lose 2 lbs. but 2 days to put on 5. I'm disappointed this week myself, but I'm going to kick it up the next two and I am hoping to get almost to goal. NO more excuses for me. I gotta do this now!

My off-POP days are inconsistent times with eating. I'm still eating on plan- I'm just eating later than 3 hours or I have completely missed a meal. I get busy with something and realize I'm starving. The other time I took a nap to try and help my migraine medicine kick in and slept through a meal. My body demands perfection in eating and exercising to give up even a half pound. It is frustrating but I'm hanging in there. I feel I'm due for a big drop sometime or another.

LOL....I think it genetic. I can remember my mom slamming things and throwing things. She is the lovliest woman that walks on the face of the earth and could not even remember what bad things we did to make her lose her temper. We were such angels. She passed on this trait to me and of all the kids I have, my DS has the temper. Last year when we were fighting about school, he put his hand through the wall in the family room. I covered it with a big poster that his girlfriend drew and then hung a big Christmas tapestry over it. Then when DH was taking down the Christmas decorations, he found it. We had to fess up. DH...not happy. OH well. Like mother, like son.
