Hi to those using food lovers. Is the food lovers plan the "food" part of the Micheal Thurmonds 6 week body work out?  I have done research on both plans before deciding which one I'd purchase and use.  6WBM seemed to stress the importance of eating the right foods at the right time, mixing them with other foods that made you lose weight.   Any connection between the two, since they are both promoted by the same company? Salerno, Most all diets say the same thing.  Eat the right foods, at the right times, exercise, use a fat burner/metabolizer to help burn the fat off faster, but I choose these tapes, because I knew that I first had to battle the subconscience urges.  I've been on almost every diet known to man - and have lost 50-60 lbs twice, but gained it back also.  Now I'm having a problem turning down food, snacks, fast food stops after work, fast food stops when I don't feel like cooking, fast food stops or processed food because it was too hot to cook or turn on the oven, etc.  I came up with a million and one excuses.  Plus I hate exercising!!!  So, I had to get my subconscious under control.  They give an example in the quick start tape.  "You eat a bag of popcorn.  You ate the entire bag.  You only had plans of eating a certain amount when you started, but you've eaten the entire bag, before you realize it"  I was wondering if they were taking about me.  At first, I had it under control.  I used to put it in a small bowl, then gave the rest to my husband.  One day, I ate the entire bag (my husband was at work), and DIDN'T realize I was eating it all, while I was eating.  That's your subconscious, eating out of habit!!!  Not because you're hungry.     Before I started with the tapes (9 days ago, I lost 6 lbs so far), I had exercise video tapes-  only used them  once!!  Don't forget I hate to exercise!!   I had brought fat burning tablets from another co.   I lost 4 lbs over a period of 8 months.  I couldn't get my appetite under control.   I'm considering buying the fat burners and the exercise tapes from Provida.com, though.  The tapes are labeled, "I hate to exercise."  Were they thinking about me when they make thise tapes?    :)     Good luck in your weight lost.  I hope this helps. SW (08-02-02)  204        CW (08-13-02):  198     1st Goal:  170lbs        GW 127   (I'm giving myself 3 lbs to flux. - I don't want to go over 130 lbs.)

I have done the six week body makeover and both plans are pretty much the same. The only difference is with six week body makeover, different body types are allowed a wider range of food. i.e. body type A can have a baked potato as a carb , but body type E can have pasta(just a little).

Actually it's a bit more complicated than how kimmy60181 described it. The basic premise of the Food Lovers Fat Loss eating plan is very similar to that of the Michael Thurmond 6 Week Body Makeover; however, the 6 Week Body Makeover program is customized program. What this means is it helps you to identify what body type you have and how your body reacts to different foods and then helps to build an eating and exercise plan around it. The Food Lovers Fat Loss Plan incorporates the same ideology of eating fresh, natural foods frequently throughout the day, but it is not customized like the 6 Week Body Makeover program is.
