I made this last night...and...OH MY GOD it was great!  Even my boyfriend who complained the entire time I was making it loved it!!!  He didn't even add salt.  I couldn't believe it.  He said, and I quote "if this is the foodyou can eat, I'll do the program with you".  I darn near died!

I changed it up a bit to make sure I got the amount of carbs I needed for my 2 servings of protein.  Since my rice triples (some rice only doubles), I changed the following:

1 1/2 chopped onions, 5 cloves of garlic, 1 1/3 cups of rice, 2 1/3 No sodium beef boullion (instead of water), 2 cans of NSA Diced tomatoes, doubled the oregano and basil.

Everything else remained the same.  Although I admit I didn't measure out or weigh the cabbage.  You need a very large skillet, but boy is it worth it.  I was stuffed!  Delish!!!

I'm trying to get back on the wagon after a few failed attempts.  I wasn't planning ahead, that's what killed me.  This will certainly help as it was easy and wonderful.

This sounds so good, I am going to make these this weekend. But I am wondering how many of these do I eat in one meal or snack? I am body Type C.

Because not everyone eats the same portion size, you won't find that information on our recipes.  Instead, you'll find a link underneath each recipe explaining the process so you'll be able to do it yourself.  Also, we recommend that folks take a moment to zip through the posts following the recipes.  Quite often you find your answer is already there.  In this case, if you go back a page, you'll read where another member walked through the process for you.  Smile

This is one of my favorites!!!  The only change I maed was I don't cook the rice with the everything together.  I have it seperate - it gets too mushy for me and also  - I can dish out the amount I need.  Thank you for you posting!!!

I love this recipe.  So easy.  The only thing I did differently is I made my ground turkey into spicey turkey sausage (I like it spicey) and I used premade rice that I had left over.  It turned out great!

I made this recipe last night and it was wonderful. Even my husband who isn't on the diet ate it and went back for seconds. I made a couple of changes- I doubled the amount of black pepper and I used preshredded cabbage. I like my cabbage with some crunch so I didn't cook it the full time and I didn't let it sit the 10 minutes at the end. I cooked it just long enough to get the rice done. Next time I don't plan to add the cabbage until it's on my plate. That way it's crisp and fresh each time. LOVED the flavor though. It was heaven after plain chicken and egg whites.

I won't have problems staying on it this diet if I can continue to find recipes like this one that tastes good. A big thumbs up.
