To get the smiley face "emoticons" go to your profile, and scroll down until you see that option and then click to allow them. Once you've done that, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to accept the changes.
The other pictures..people bring those in on their own and simply insert them into the post box. When you are typing a message, just below is a line that says: File: click here to upload. click that and just follow the directions.
If it's worth having, it's worth working hard for!

Hi Dolores: I went to my profile but couldn't find 'emoticons'. Page 2 is basically gallery and page 3 are the bookmarks.
On page one, I see tags for emails, signature, online status & newsletter which I can accept by clicking 'yes'. Is it possible my profile page is different from other profiles? What exactly does the tag say [so I can locate it]?
Your help is much appreciated!
PS- remember the jumping reply box prob I had, well, I found out what the prob was. I have a big monitor, so I generally zoom the screen to 150%. That was the problem! If I keep it at 100% I see the reply box fine. Glad that's now behind me.

The emoticon menu is in the reply screen. Clicking on the happy face above the letters HTML will open a menu which allows you to choose from icons available on this site.
Any of the other pictures come from outside sources-- and since I've never been sufficiently interested in them to inquire, I'll leave that one to someone else to answer.

When I go my profile, the toolbox pops up over the top of the information on the left side of the screen. I would paste a copy here, but of course when I do, I comes out right! And when I print the screen, it prints correctly. Below is a view of what covers the left side of my screen (and of course, it still probably wont come out looking correctly on this post either!)
I'm not really understanding what the issue is. The toolbox is supposed to show on the left hand side of your screen while you view your profile. Please explain why this is a problem so that I can better understand.

I have a quick question related to the list of threads in the Newbies Forum. I am a member of the thread that begins "For anyone on 6wbmo. Doesn't matter when you started..... " started by Brenda. My question is kind of trivial. Why is the icon to the left of our thread the only one in black and white while everybody else's is in color? I've done some searching for a legend on that, but have come up empty. I appreciate your help. Thanks! Evelyn

Hi! Obviously I am not Dolores, but I know that if you have read/accessed a thread that the little icon thingy goes black and white. I think there is a "definition" of these things somewhere along here but can't find it right now.
Hope this helps until BMOS Dolores or someone more techie comes along with the full answer.

As always, Carole is spot on!! The left icon will "gray out" once that thread is read. To test the theory, click into any of the other threads, then go back out and take a look. You'll see that thread is gray now too.

Quick question - Hope I'm in the right place.
Whatever threads I have posted on also goes to my e-mail. But I have now narrowed down the posts I frequent and I would like to other threads to no longer go to my e-mail. How do I do this?

Ummmm, I don't see the threads i get email from listed under bookmarks. What i do is go to the thread and then click the "Disable Email subscription" button to cancel it.

When I click on somebody's picture under their photo gallery the photo is like 1000 times too big. It is absolutely huge and I have to scroll all the way through it to even look at somebody. Why does it do this?

I'm not sure why that is happening for you. Does that happen no matter whose gallery you view or only with a few galleries? Also, are you able to view the images in a normal size if you click on "Slide Show" instead of clicking on individual pictures? It might help to know what web browser you are using, in case there is a way to adjust the way images are shown.
Have noticed the past posts has stopped (about 6/25), yet again. Any ideas on the issue being corrected or is this part of the things that can't be fixed since the ones who did the program changes/upgrade are no longer in existence?

Hey Carole, I just clicked on your past posts, and they came up. Maybe just a temporary glitch? Also, the people who created the forum still exist, it is the people who created the live chat who went out of business..or more accurately, were bought out.

I have looked all over my profile but I'm not seeing it....how do you all get your 'body type' to show up in the left side area of the forum posts? The only thing I see in my profile that is remotely close to it asks for the Body Blueprint, but nothing about body type. And I see some of the forum show a body type with numbers after it (guessing those are the blueprint numbers?) - for example: Body Type B 3/1/2.
Help? Thanks in advance.
