Kim- OMG!!! Size 6 is awesome! Great job.

Peg- Yes he has finally decided to go to Chowan University. It's about 2 1/2 hours from home. He went up there today for some special day they had and met with his advisor. He walked in and the guy says "so you are the legendary kid they are all talking about". I said ok, you've sold yourself now you have to live up to it. Proud of him, hope he does well.

Thanks Darlene but, I have some major work to do if I expect to look great in it. Trust me... I am putting every ounce of myself into the next seven weeks... I am going to look AWESOME!!

Kris (or Anyone) ~ How did you like that spray tan? Since I don't tan (only burn and freckle) I was thinking of having that done for our trip in June. Let me know how you liked it and if you noticed any rub off or anything like that. Thanks.

    Hi quacks!

Wow, size 6 - that is amazing - and it is a definite that you will fit in it Kim!! and look really really good!!! I am a true supporter of putting ALL pounds lost up in that left hand corner!!! You deserve to take pleasure in your successes!!!

Heidi, being foodaholics is not an easy thing to conquer. And I agree, it feels so scary when playing in dangerous waters. Same for me, take me out of my home safety net and I feel very fragile. But I have no doubts that you will be back full strength once home and grounded. Good going on the drinking your water - that is a huge plus - we're all here for you and know your strengths!!!

We just had a garage sale today - neighborhood - MY LAST ONE - what a freakin pain in the butt - even though we made about $450 - I have a mess everywhere that will take me the week to recover from. Adding to more stress to get meals prepared. I wanted to get some new shelving in the garage for my stuff that doesn't fit in the kitchen. California, space is a premium and even my little 1500 sq ft home, there is no where to put all my cooking goodies - so they end up in the garage!!! I will be happier in a week, when I have my shelving bought - put together - and my new clear containers and all my stuff organized so I can get to it easily - but it wil take the week.

I have some options Peg for the TMJ - everything is costly - so I want to carefully choose what to do. When the pain goes, I forget to think about it. Then when it is here, I feel so crappy that I can't figure what to do. I have heard of an appliance that realigns the jaw - it can cost from $300 to $3000 - not to mention the office fees for the specialist. It is different than the bite guard mouthpiece. The huge cost difference is US vs Mexico - hmmm, right now a scary thought. So, I am a bit in denial with the pain.

Can't wait to feel good again. I am better than my worst so that is a good thing. Sorry I have been so half focused - and it is doing me no good. I'm sure I have a couple of pounds gained - and fear a real struggle to get back poppin' - oh my, I need to drink my water tooooooo!!!

Mari, you're doing great - keep it up!!!

Chryste, thinking about you with all this sh$$ everywhere - it feels so chaotic!!! Peg, funny you are doing the garage sale thingy too - I have been butting heads with DH all day - huge mess. At least we cha chinged it!!

Sharon, Lisa, Angela - hi to you and anyone else I may have not mentioned!!

Darlene, you are a rock!!! Thanks for being so steady - wonderful thing!!! Yeah for your son. And yours too Peg!!! Birdies flying from the nests!!! Speaking of, my little hummingbird DD - who hit the road last week all packed up and fit into her little Escort - called today to say she was in an accident in Oregon - she is fine (TG) - but her car is probably totaled - OH NO - what now!!!! Her fault, rain and sleet (not used to it) and rear ended into a tow pull thingy on an SUV. She's only had a few days working on an organic farm up there. We'll see what happens - 24 - hmmm, gotta let her do her thing. A little more stress on the jaw LOL!!!

OK, gotta go think about some food - so not wanting to cook. I think I'll play Scarlet and "worry about that tomorrow!"!

Hey all! Not happy at all today. Got the computer back from the Geek Squad and we couldn't get the wireless to work because the desk top crashed. Then when I was just using Word without the internet connection the whole hard drive crashed and started to make a horrible grinding noise. The Geeks said that we have a 90 day warrenty. Guess where I'll be going tomorrow. I think it is burnt to a crisp and I would like to shoot my DH for touching it in the first place!Angry

So I am stuck using my work computer pluged in to the internet like a desk top. I will disassemble it after every time I use it because I don't want DH anywhere near it.

Anyway, that is what I have been up to for the last few days. Did I mention that my DD has two major projects due for school over the next week and everything we do we will have to save and print out at school? That just adds to the stress.

I need to go to bed, but he's in there.Super Angry

Major cooking day for me. I have to scoot off to the store for supplies. My veggie drawer is looking very sad right now. I'll be making Heidi's chicken and mushroom gravy today. I'll also make a batch of talapia and shrimp. I love having stuff in the freezer ready to go in a moments notice. I think I am going to lay off the rice this week. I have some yams and oatmeal I'll try instead. Shaking it up.

    Got to run now. BBL

Hi all, exercises for curcuit done.  Will be going for a walk soon.  Waiting for the washer to finish the load so I can switch them over  and put my last load in.

Woke up at 7am, like normal.  Just can't sleep past that anymore.  So, I had taken out chicken breast,  ground turkey breast, fish and chicken breast tenders.  So, I made a few things up, foodsaved them and froze them.  I made Heidi's chicken w/mushroom gravy.  It is going to be really good.  I sampled a tiny little morsel that had fallen off on of the tenders. I usually don't like mushrooms, but that really looks and smells good.  I made a turkeky meatloaf, I think it is called spicy pizza meatloaf.  Not sure about that, but it looks and smelled good.  I didn't have any rice cooked, which it called for, so I used oatmeal.   I also made boneless chicken wings. OMG, they are hot!  Had I know how hot, I probably wouldn't have made them.  Makes your lips burn.  I may same them and use them in a chili or something.  So, cooking done, exercise and walk almost, and laundry done.  I am doing really good today, for me. LOL

Kim, great idea to cut the rice.  It does that to me also.  I was eating lots of sweet potatoes when I was losing the best the first time around.  Try eating spaghetti squash and make a Italian spaghetti sauce with your ground turkey and you have a complete meal, minus the veggie.  Sometimes that is all it takes for your body to get moving again. I get in a rut too and things slow done.  Have fun cooking.

Well, better get moving.  I'll catch you all later.

    Hiya gang.
Had a fantastic workout week... shins are screaming...but I feel fantastic.  I'm sure I walked/jogged/ran/hiked about 15 miles this weekend... omg, I am so happy about it!
My confessions...truths.... need for help... I have an issue with food.  I'm thinking more and more about puking after I eat crap...and I am eating the crap not to any huge binging degree...but the puking thoughts are swirling around.  I'm in this biggest loser thing at work...and I know I will have a gain this weekend... and I'm so down on myself right now... I feel like I need a swift but loving kick in the ass to remind me I'm worth it and I'm strong.  Oh and the puking thoughts are a new thing... not ongoing... My whole life I've been taught, and have happily joined in, to emotional eat.  Maybe I need to buy some Smart tape... although that kind of stuff annoys me normally.
Anyway... won't make this a novel... feel better having even made this more public... I am going to win... and I've been really self medicating with food for 10 years...and I've been really trying to get a grip on it now for 2 years... but have learned so much with this plan...and being supported so unconditionally from people in similar shoes...
    I'm going to win...

Michelle - Do not start the puking thing. My daughter had an eating disorder and I no how it harms you.  You will get to your goal.  So, you have had a set back, get back on the horse and go.  I have an idea, Everytime you eat something you shouldn't, My motto is:  YOU BITE YOU WRITE IT.  Well, how about posting it here everyday as it happens. Accountability can be had that way.  I keep a food journal each day.  When I don't I cheat.  Try that too.  OH, AND YOU ARE OFFICIALLY KICKED IN THE BUTT!  NOW GET WITH THE PROGRAM!  YOU CAN DO IT!

You are right, honesty does make you feel better, so that is why I suggested this.  What do you think?

Well, gotta fold laundry.  Catch you all later.

Hey Michelle, don't be too hard on yourself. We all have periods where we get stuck or get down on ourselves. You did good to get in here and let us know what you're thinking. Mari is right about the journaling. I always do so much better when I consistently write down what I eat. I use Fitday.com. It is free and you can log food, exercise, weight, etc.

I hope the rest of you are all having a good weekend. I'll talk to you all tomorrow.

Michelle- Hey woman, I just want to chime in on this real quick. I went through a little binging period here where I actually did throw it up. I hate to admit that, but one day I thought you know, I think I'll try that. Well worked great, the next day no weight gain bc I had thrown it up. After doing that a couple of times I said you know this is stupid, and what if I get hooked doing it. Then I said, well dummy, if you just hadn't eaten it to begin with you wouldn't have to be throwing it up. It's very unhealthy. Take a deep breath, you can do a great job losing weight. Just be pop, commit to a week, and you'll be cruisin through those avi's again. Big hugs woman. You looked really good in those pics at Karen's house. Oh and great job on the cardio, you rock!!!

Sorry guys, my husband is biting at the bit to to some work on the computer so I'll be back later.....

OK, I gotta put my 2 cents in too!!! Michelle, I think the contest/challenge mode is not the best thing for you. Especially in the real world, where folks are not always wanting the best for you (and maybe even you for them ... human huh?). The work world is so competitive anyway.

If the desire to prove or win becomes so strong that even just your THOUGHTS become hurtful to yourself - not good. Best to lose weight for the sake of YOU and your well-being at whatever pace it takes. Too much pressure with the crowd challenge. You're doing great. Drink your water and PEE - no pukey por favor!!!

    Hi folks!

Monday morning, back at home, all is well, and we

are back to plan, back to losing more pounds, back

    to work, back to routine.

Had a very wet trip back to NY yesterday.  Yikes,

torrential rains and all that for a while.

Okay, I have a gain to report, but I don't have the heart

to change my weight on my profile because these extra

nuisance pounds are going to be gone in a couple

days.  I know this for a fact.

I'm rather late this am, so a quick post from yours truly

My meals are packed(i left some food home so I would

have some for Monday) and I am back 100% to get

    to goal.

I  did NOT hit the gym yesterday.

Enjoy the chicken and mushroom recipe, but remember

    it wasnt' mine.

    Okay, later all.

Hope your weigh day is much better.

    Good morning all..

I'm back to try this thing again...been miserable since I left...

    I AM TIRED OF:

    Feeling tired all the time

Having to stuff my boobs into my bra

Pulling up my underwear because they keep rolling down over my stomach & butt

Getting out of the shower & wanting to break the mirror that is in front of me

Not having sex because I feel like a pig

Well that's just a handfull of things...I threw out all my fat clothes so now I have to stuff my fat into the clothes I have...

I weighed in this morning at 197.4....OMG

    I will be measuring shortly

I know what to do....I know what to eat....I know this works....I will be needing HELP getting where I need to be

It's good to be back....Hi to everyone new & old

    Sue

Let's get to goal then worry about how we feel about it....iamHeidi

    Hi there my pond friends!

Much better place today... I have things I'm going to put up in my kitchen tonight... Pic from Ali (from BL) that was in People Mag... a really cute loving supportive ecard from a member friend here... and affirmations that I am stronger than the food.

I just did 40 on the TM and then 10 on the bike...then 10 on the weights/floor... and tried really hard not to obsess about how many calories I was burning.

It's a new day... I feel better... I'm going to win this war... losing little battles is normal... getting a grip on my mental thinking processes will take time and patience...and I can do it...

    Thanks again guys... Michelle
