Hi to any fellow California 6WBMO-ers! Would love to meet you! Hope this becomes a place to kick back, relax, have a glass of water with a lemon twist, and have some great plan discussion, life discussion, or whatever. Hope we can have some fun while we're losing it (ya know what I mean).

    Looking forward to meeting you.

Hey there....no one here yet? Okay. Maybe later. As for me today... POP? Check. Cardio? 30 mins on the treadmill...check. Resistance...Day 2 check. Off to do more cooking. I've got to arm myself with POP foods because I have in-laws coming to visit for 9 days and I need to have my food prepared and bagged to easily grab for those eating out occasions where there is nothing good for me to eat.

Well, California...hope you all had a POP day. Sending out restful night prayers to all of you.

Looks like it's gonna be a great day! Sending out POP vibes to all! Don't forget...the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. I forgot who said it but I love that quote.

    Be blessed!

In-law invasion beginning today. Gotta pick them up from the airport. They'll be staying with us for 9 days. . Gotta pack my own food since I know we'll be out most of the day and eating at places that may not have something for me to eat. Bye!

Hey, Lita! Doing well. Welcome, Ms. Inspiration. Can't wait to wear the same avie as you. How are you doing? I remember being on the forums a long time ago....were you one of the S.W.E.A.T Sisters? What happened to them. Are they all okay?

Hey Cali people. Managed to stay POP even with the in-laws in town. My sister-in-law is living lean on the plan so she understands my need to be POP and is very supportive of that. So cool that I have an advocate who is sensitive to those needs. Just didn't get a chance to exercise today but oh well....hopefully I get a chance tomorrow. I didn't take any time off for there visit, just not able to so DH is taking them around. Hope you all have a blessed evening.

You look kind of lonely. And Lita hasn't been hanging around as much as she used to these days.

This is just a suggestion, you understand, but there is a group of Californians which has been posting together for nearly seven months on this thread. Why not check it out?

    Hey there,

Yes I don't hang out as much as I use to - work often keeps me too busy to check and when I do check I've been fighting off getting totally annoyed with people posting and or asking the same questions over and over again. So rather then biting someone's head off for innocent comments I refrain from commenting.

And yes again, I was on the SWEAT sister's thread - it died a while back - There wasn't really anyone staying on plan anymore and slowly they all just wandered off. It was rather dishearting to see - I wished more of them would have stuck with it.

I did check out that other Ca thread - no wonder I never saw it, I don't normally look in the newbie board at all these days.

I'm glad you managed to stay POP while the family was about. Good for you!!

    Hey Lita,

Thanks for stopping by! That's too bad about SWEAT Sisters. Yeah...you sort of run out of motivation to come on the threads when you've fallen off the wagon. It kinda makes you feel...I don't know...guilty, bad, eh...trying to come up with the right word for it...that you're not on the plan yourself. I think it's really the mindset we come up with when we first start the program...we keep telling ourselves that this is a new lifestyle and not a diet when in reality, we really DO think of this as a diet...and that's where our mistake is. A diet is something you fall off of, can stop after a period of time, deprive yourself of enjoyment while you're on it, whatever. I think that's what failed me last time. I'm really trying hard to change that mindset this time around. I really am going to be doing this for the rest of my life....eating healthy, living healthy. Diet has such bad connotations associated with it.

A friend asked me this weekend after seeing what I was eating if I was on a diet. I said no, just trying to eat healthier.

    Slowly but surely...

    Take care

Eating healthier - yes that is the best way to put it - and another reason why I'm not nearly as active as I use to be. I'm what is apparentlly called now a "tweater" I (and my doctor) adjusted my program - making it something I could stick with for the long term. This ment I lost slower, but heck, at least I'm keeping it off. I'm still really struggling with the rest of the weight.. I'm not even sure I want to get below 180/185 - might be the reason that I'm still at it vs getting down to 160 as I had originally planned.

What really got to me about the SWEAT sisters was so many of them talked a good game, but most never changed their avaters to anything because they were always having some problem this, or some problem that which required them to eat off plan. Or at least it seemed like it - sure there were a few that did lose weight which is wonderful.

Yeah...the excuses...the excuses. They're very familiar to me. But I have excused and justified myself to a weight which I was not happy with. Those excuses did nothing but hurt me in the end so I had to put an end to those darn things. I remember reading some of those posts.

This program definitely needs to be thought of long term...not a short sprint. At least you were able to work with your doc to find something that would help you get to where you are now.

Be Back Later...break over and gotta get back to work.

    Take care, Lita.
