    GIGGLES!!!

    WAL-MART MURDER!

Tired of constantly being broke & stuck in an unhappy marriage, a young husband decided to solve both problems by taking out a large insurance policy on his wife with himself as the beneficiary, & then arranging to have her killed. A 'friend of a friend' put him in touch with
a nefarious dark-side underworld figure who went by the name of 'Artie.' Artie then explained to the husband that his going price for snuffing out a spouse was $5,000.

The husband said he was willing to pay that amount, but that he wouldn't have any cash on hand until he could collect his wife's insurance money.

Artie insisted on being paid at least something up front, so the man opened his wallet, displaying the single dollar bill tha t rested inside.

Artie sighed, rolled his eyes, & reluctantly agreed to accept the dollar as down payment for the dirty deed.

A few days later, Artie followed the man's wife to the local Super Wal-Mart store. There, he surprised her in the produce department & proceeded to strangle her with his gloved hands & as the poor unsuspecting woman drew her last breath & slumped to the floor........the manager of the produce department stumbled unexpectedly onto the murder scene. Unwilling to leave any living witnesses behind, ol' Artie had no choice but to strangle the produce manager as well.

However, unknown to Artie, the entire proceedings were captured by the hidden security cameras & observed by the store's security guard, who immediately called the police.

Artie was caught & arrested before he could even leave the store. Under intense questioning at the police station, Artie revealed the whole sordid plan, including his unusual fi n ancial arrangements with the hapless husband who was also quickly arrested.

The next day in the newspaper,
    the headline declared ...

(You're going to hate me for this ... )

    'ARTIE CHOKES

    2 for a $1.00

    AT WAL-MART!'

Ha Ha, you needed that didn't you!!!!!

    Good morning lovely ladies!

Can you believe it?  Two more days left!!!  What are you going to do with them?

Just a reminder.... the semester is ending.... but your new way of life isn't.  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! Find a support group!  I can't stress this enough.

Please always remember.... You are your best friend, please make sure you take the very best possible care of you.  No negative talk, no self destruction, no letting yourself down.  If you wouldn't want it for your friend, you don't want it for you.

You all have made great progress, you have the tools and the knowledge to use them.  Carry them with you at all times, just like you carry your food and your water.  Remember to get your cardio and your toning in.  AND Don't forget to take your best friend with you!

Ok Iadies, I am gleaming today.  I tried on a skirt for my meeting today and before this skirt was a little tight well it almost fell off of me so I cant wear it anymore.  So I tried on some 14 and large skirts and they fit.  I am so happy right now.  I need to go find my size 14 jeans and see if they fit now beings my 16's are getting loose.    I did my cardio and my day 2 sculpting yesterday so all I have to do is more cardio today and I got a full week of cardio.  Now I just need to get all my water in.  I am trying something different now so we will see if it works.   Well I need to do some work around the house now so I''ll be back later.

There’s so much I wish I would have posted here

So much I could have shared

    Although I didn’t do that

It was good to have this place

And to know that you all were there.

I could not open up much this semester for reasons I didn’t really acknowledge or understand, but then I realized it was because I was grieving.

You see on October 13, 2008 I lost someone who meant so much to me, my grandmother passed away after 3 years of battling. She had a stroke 3 years ago and they found cancer in her too. She got gained strength (not 100%) 6 months after being in a nursing home. Then we took care of her in our home well over 2 years until 4 months before she passed away –she had to go back in to a nursing home and that is where she stayed until her dying day.  I love her more than words can say and I know she loves me too—I visited her the day before she died and I am so happy I got one more chance to say I love you—although it hurts I know she is in a better place I am just beginning to deal with it but I know she lives in me.

I know I didn’t post much but I was really happy to be here I kept me for ideal time where sadness could linger and threaten all I have accomplished this year. And it brings me joy to know my grandmother got to see me lose this weight and open up and grow—I have wanted this most of my life and sometimes I can’t believe this is me-- Who knew??? I could shrink and grow so much in just under a year. I wish you all the very best, endless happiness, and continued success. Take care –I will keep you all in prayer.

    Dear Dana,

Thank you so much for sharing this!  I have to say, I have been inspired by your weight loss -- simply fantastic!  No doubt your grandmother was indeed very proud of you!

Our family lost my husband's mother a few years ago under much the same circumstances as you shared and I can certainly understand what you've been going through.  Grieving is a dynamic thing that is very personal --some folks can recover quickly and others take a bit longer,  and while we've been sharing our dorm this semester, we've indeed seen several instances of that -- whether it is a mother who passed away a while ago and was laid to rest recently; the death of a dearly-beloved life-long pet; or the blessing of caring for a endearing grandmother who passing away.

As we continue to face the trevails of life, let's continue to celebrate the fact that we are indeed in charge of ourselves and our lives.  This is a step along the highway to a healthier you filled with ups and downs -- hopefully we've all shared in this so meaningfully this semester.

    Best wishes to all,

Dana, I'm so sorry for your loss!  A loss of any kind is very hard for us.  Grandparents a treasure.  You are lucky to have had your grandmother for such a long time.  I lost my only grandparent when I was 14.  You are right, she will ALWAYS be with you in your heart and in your mind.  You have many memories to keep her alive.  Please keep your goal insight and continue to reach for it.  Please be sure you find another support group, the Asylum is always available to you.  Don't try to go it along.

Do you have a special story you can share with us?

    HOW TO LOVE YOURSELF

Refuse to criticize yourself - Criticism never changes a thing . Accept yourself exactly as you are. Everybody changes. When you criticize yourself, your changes are negative. When you approve of yourself, your changes are positive.

Don't Scare Yourself - Stop terrorizing yourself with your thoughts. It's a dreadful way to live. Find a mental image that gives you pleasure (mine is yellow roses), and immediately switch your scary thought to a pleasure thought.

Be Gentle And Kind And Patient - Be gentle with yourself. Be kind to yourself. Be patient with yourself as you learn the new ways of thinking. Treat yourself as you would someone you really loved.

Be Kind To Your Mind - Self hatred is only hating your own thoughts. Don't hate yourself for having the thoughts. Gently change your thoughts.

Praise Yourself - Criticism breaks down the inner spirit. Praise builds it up. Praise yourself as much as you can. Tell yourself how well you are doing with every little thing.

Support Yourself - Find ways to support yourself. Reach out to friends and allow them to help you. It is being strong to ask for help when you need it.

Be Loving To Your Negatives - Acknowledge that you created them to fulfill a need. Now, you are finding new, positive ways to fulfill those needs. So, lovingly release the old negative patterns.

Take Care Of Your Body - Learn about nutrition. What kind of fuel does your body need to have optimum energy and vitality? Learn about exercise. What kind of exercise can you enjoy? Cherish and revere the temple you live in.

Mirror Work - Look into your eyes often. Express this growing sense of love you have for yourself. At least once a day say: "I love you, I really love you."

Love Yourself. Do It Now. Don't wait until you lose the weight, Begin now -- and do the best you can.

    ~Louise L. Hay~

It's been a pleasure to spend this time with you.

    Sincerely,

    Ernie
