I turned 50 and was diagnosed as a diabetic. I started the plan in 2001 when I got laid off. I lost a few pounds, then started back to work. I don't know why, when this plan works so well, that we think - if I would just eat a little less, I would lose more! Obviously, I threw myself off track but am back on the case! My blood sugar improved so dramatically that my doctor gave me until the end of July to lose more weight before he puts me on a medication. My motivation is - NO MEDICATION!
