I've been fat for as long as I can remember-I think I was first aware of being fat in 5th grade. I've tried to lose weight so many times, but have never lost more than 40# and each time I yo-yo back and add a few more pounds. My last attempt, about 5 years ago, was the low-carb diet. It worked well but I came to realize that what I liked about it was that I could eat huge quantities of what I liked. I now realize that THAT is my problem: quantities of food (usually not the wrong things, altho' I can go thru full packages of sweets in 1 OR 2 sittings). I need to get this under control as I want to avoid diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol as well as other medical issues as I approach 60. I have the willpower-I need the support and a good, solid program!
